So Bored to Death will have spent 22 weeks on the Alt chart before She's Out of Her Mind has a chance to debut. Seems too long to me. Oh well.

  2. Hope they shoot a rad video this time.

I feel like people that want Tom back in the band are expecting pre 1st break up Tom to come back instead of the post 1st break up I don't care about blink but did you hear about my newest project I'm doing that I do care about Tom.

I'd love to get pre 2003 Tom back but I think that Tom is gone forever. It's fine people change, I get it it's life. I'm happy that he's happy doing his other projects. I'll always love the old Tom and his old stuff.

With that being said I'm much more interested in hearing a follow up to California with Matt than a follow up to Neighborhoods or DED with Tom.

Not myself, I would have much rather had a follow up to Neighborhoods. I think with the right producer they would've had another stellar album like S/T in them. In the minority, but I actually enjoyed Neighborhoods WAY more than California.

California's high moments are better than Neighborhoods' high moments, in my opinion.

There aren't any songs on Neighborhoods that are as great as "Bored To Death" or "She's Out Of Her Mind" (which I consider to be 2 of the best Blink songs since the Untitled album)

Blink announced another show, December 11th in San Diego as part of a radio holiday festival

I mean Tom already took a shot at blink for using Feldmann. He hates producers. It's Tom's way or the highway.

Interesting bit on Tom. I don't think he gets through to mark, but I think he can make it messy and shut blink down for a bit. I think matt is also too passive to get in the middle, so if Tom gets pushy I think matt could duck out.

I liked Neighborhoods, still do. It's just not an album I go back to a lot. There are some really good songs on that album and also some pretty poor ones too. I just think the album suffers from not having an outside voice to give advice or to say no (to Tom). Also I think the band realizes they can't go through another recording process like that again, they all need to be in the same room at the same time throwing ideas off each other etc. You can tell the songs that only Tom worked on or just Mark. I wouldn't be surprised if Tom never heard some of Mark's songs like Fighting the Gravity or MH.

After Midnight is a great song, in my opinion, but yeah I agree with everything else you said. California has so many good songs on that record that you didn't mention like Cynical, Sober, Left Alone and San Diego that I'd rather listen to over any Neighborhood song except maybe After Midnight.

Yeah this is why I don't understand why Tom keeps claiming he's going to come back and fans believe he would be welcomed back or could work with Mark and Travis again. Besides him making the recording process difficult, not wanting to work with a producer, not even willing to commit to making an album, then practicing for any tours without complaining about it, I mean what exactly makes anyone think he's changed or would bring value to the band at this time?

It all depends on what type of agreement or settlement was reached and what Mark and Travis can legally do with the name brand or not. For all we know Mark and Travis can continue to tour and make new music under the blink-182 name and Tom can't stop them. Or Tom has to sign off on anything they want to do even if it's to play in for a high school prom. The only ones that know for sure are those guys and the lawyers. It's kind of silly to speculate.

Wishful thinking. Delusions. Somewhere between the two lol.

  17. After Midnight, Wishing Well, and Hearts All Gone are probably the only actual "great" songs on Neighborhoods. California has more, for sure.

the only thing that threw me on that list was waggy, but ya...exceptionally written.

Yeah I agree although I like Kaleidoscope and Even if She Falls. The only songs I seem to skip are Snake Charmer, This is Home, HM 4.18.2011, Love is Dangerous and Fighting the Gravity. Which is why I probably rank Neighborhoods just above Cheshire Cat and Buddha.

  23. I love the chorus and bridge of Snake Charmer. But I really don't listen to a good chunk of that album. I skip a lot...

Well, the original post mentioned STFTK was one of the ones they didn't know either. So, I guess that means I'm right? Haha

The bridge in Snake Charmer is good for sure but the rest just feels I don't know how to describe it maybe "long", just feels like it's an 8 minute song.
