That line-up is "fine." But for anybody who still goes to shows regularly, much like this year, there's really not much that's special and/or essential about it.

Short sets and inevitable overlap make this a hard pass. Just like this year. Gimmicky festival is gimmicky.

EDIT: And total "yikes" at the inclusion of Saves the Day and All Time Low.

Yep. 95 percent of those bands tour super often and the super popular ones are going to have gigantic crowds where you won’t be able to even be that close.

I'm sorta surprised they announced it before this year's festival has even happened. I'm curious to see how it winds up going logistically and whatnot

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

If we've learned anything from this year, it's not to buy a presale ticket. Book your flight and hotel in advance and just wait for people's plans to fall through at a fraction of the price.

In the same vein, waiting for a hotel or Airbnb is not a good idea. They will be gone quickly.

Is it wild that they announced this so early and even before the first one has even taken place?

A lot riding on this festival logistics-wise. Also, they are going to face additional challenges since a large portion of the audience will the those who haven't gone to festivals shows for 5-10 years and will be complaining.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. There are several Hilton hotels with availability but many aren't open for booking yet. Airbnb has lots of options (for now).

THIS right here. I've been to probably 30-35 festivals in the past 6-7yrs. Granted, there are fests that are complete disasters (Fyre, Blue Ridge 2021, TomorrowWorld) but a lot of the complaints at fests now are from people 25-35yo who have been to very few prior and expect EVERYTHING to be perfect and tailored to them.

There will be lines, and there will be long lines, get used to it. If you don't enjoy lines, then purchase VIP. It's a GA venue, trying to camp out or reserve a spot in the crowd is tacky and lame, yet you see people always get mad when someone "invades their space". Again, get VIP if that's an issue.

Go to the fest, be prepared to be hot, be prepared to be tired, be prepared to wait in lines, and just roll with the punches and have a good time.

I don't know why people think this will be a logistical nightmare. Live Nation produces plenty of events with a larger capacity that run fairly well. I do think, as you get older, it's worth springing for VIP as it's just an all-around more comfortable environment and access to flushable toilets is a huge bonus.

Bc we live in a dumb/entitled society and the failure of Fyre Fest makes everyone think if there’s a 10min beer line at a fest that they need to make a social media post about it.

Also a lot of fests are on outdoor grass areas and it will get dusty and dirty. Noticed a lot of new festival goers complain about this too.

Someone (I think from the UK) brought up why tickets are so expensive in the US. I wonder if these dymanic pricing policies aren't legal in the UK/Europe and, as such, the US dates are even more expensive to subsidize European tours.
