We literally have no idea what this version of Bray is going to be. There's nothing to suggest that this iteration is going to be supernatural in any way.

 

I'd argue it's unfortunately how TK showcases the womens division. Putting most of them in the ring at the same time and jobbing out to the title holder. Don't get me wrong, Bianca is great and I'm not actually comparing her to Baker in any meaningful way, except that the finish was booked to favour the champ in a way that didn't serve the rest of the women involved at all.

 

I didn’t like The Fiend/Firefly Funhouse stuff, but if they feed Dominik to the talking vulture I’ll be on board with it.

Again, Bray rules with all this build up and shit, and what we are seeing here we have seen before, like legitimately this is a carbon copy of what he has done before and that's cool and entertaining but when I think of Bray wrestling, I think of some of the worst big stage, main event feel matches i have ever witnessed in my life. Bray/Seth in HIAC comes to mind right away as well as Orton/Bray at whatever wrestlemania.

 

That's not even saying is Bray is a bad wrestler! His gimmick is what ruins matches tbh.

 

So seeing the same ole shit, basically has me not very confident about it. I pray and hope i'm wrong I love being wrong about this shit, but my lame ass has watched wrestling long enough to be able to look at these types of things realistically and not like some mark lol.

The schtick in the ring is the other guy fucking destroys him with 8 finishers and then all of a sudden he's doing the exorcist upside down back arch thing in the corner while selling jack shit and wins the match. Makes the other person look like a major geek every time.

Personally, I don't make judgements on something till I see it. So far, we've had one 5 minute segment at the end of a PPV and a brief, 30 second video on RAW. He's coming into a reinvigorated company who isn't being run by a creatively bankrupt old man who would change things on a whim because he can't see past what's happening daily. We have no idea what direction the company is taking him.

But hey, i'm just some mark, so what do I know.

I too make snap judgements on what the most unpredictable wrestler in terms of gimmick creation will do after seeing him for 10 seconds through a glowing doorway on a ppv lol

 

Is his gimmick what ruins matches, or is it his booking that has ruined matches?

His debut as the Fiend against Finn was a lot of fun. Stuff like that HIAC match, the WM stuff with Orton... a lot of that suffered from shit like the red lights or projecting the maggots or whatever. And sure, a lot of that could have been Bray's ideas but even then, get someone willing to tell him "no" and I don't think he's a terrible wrestler.
