It's an 8 second clip so it's hard to judge but it doesn't sound very interesting, it's a bit of a throwback. Let's see if this is a nostalgia play or if they push themselves a bit.

 

The little Mark bit sounds awesome

 

Adjacent Festival will be May 28th in Atlantic City

If there’s dual vocals, it’s catchy and cohesive. That’s all I need from my blink-182. Not saying experimentation and stretching themselves wouldn’t be welcomed but I don’t mind either way.

 

He always knew he was a hired gun but when they go from performing as Blink with him as the caveat, to full Blink, and to this without an acknowledgment of him - I doubt there’s “no ill will”. Part of the hold up with the announcement may have very well been contract breakage negotiations.

Regardless, Matt looks the happiest and sounds the best in a long time while playing with Alkaline Trio. I’m happy to have him solely back on that.

Yea, there are already a few threads on Reddit from people wishing the band would acknowledge what Matt did for blink. I'll say the same thing here as I did there: Fans are probably demanding this more than Matt, who is a class act that likely knows he's appreciated by Mark, Travis, etc. and doesn't need a public display of gratitude.
