Personally, that doesn't seem much better than letting Russia just keep it fully, but it also seems kinda silly to speculate at this point - it only matters what the leaders of the two countries say at the table that they currently are refusing to come to. I know Zelenskyy has said he won't negotiate with Putin, but Putin hasn't shown any interest in negotiating either.

Putin seems incredibly focused on seizing and maintaining the land bridge to Crimea at this point, which would seem to point toward him not wanting to give up Crimea in any potential future negotiations. Ukraine's position seems to get stronger by the day though.

 

That's the most likely to be Putin’s actual nuclear red line. Unless the idea is to deny/misinform the crossing over is happening out of existence

Still kind of surreal how Ukraine is so effectively treating/portraying some issues/events like as if it were a wrestling match, to boost morale. Almost in real time. I don't really think there has ever been anything quite like it.
Makes the whole thing almost feel trivial, but that couldn't be further from the truth.
Sort of the reverse of football fans treating everything like life or death

Striking the critical supply line bringing weapons, vehicles and other equipment into Ukraine and specifically the Kherson front is a different thing than Russia double-tapping hospitals or hitting a train station that is crowded with civilians fleeing the fighting or blowing up an apartment building at night while the people are sleeping in the middle of a city or a missile strike on a convoy of strictly civilians in vehicles that kills 30 people and injuries over 100 - I could go on all day with more examples. One thing has strategic significance and the civilians killed were collateral damage and the other things are just acts of terror trying to break a people's will to resist where the death of the civilians is the entire fucking point. Pretending they are the same thing is being obtuse.
