the new Beavis and Butthead episodes are way better than expected. really enjoying it

 

It’s been genuinely funny. Every episode has made me laugh, which is a lot more than I can say about the original run of the show.

 

I personally loved the original run, but I was also like 10 when it came out so...

The reboot they did in 2011 was kinda underwhelming, but these new episodes are hilarious and they've done a great job of updating it for modern times without it becoming eye rolling.

 

Didn't realize 4 ex's of Welcome To Wrexham dropped this week. Such a weird schedule Hulu is doing with this show.

Blonde.

Didnt hate it as much as others did. Brutal, yes, but it's definitely something that's stuck with me since i watched it a few days ago. I liked the style, i loved Armas, and yeah it's a little long, but other than that I kinda really liked it. The director had a vision and went for it. Really does a great job of throwing it in your face in how absolutely disgusting it was for her. Raw.

See, most of this is made up though. So, it does not show us how life was for her. It just treats her like garbage because they wanted to. His vision was vile. He wanted to justify her suicide, to understand why she did it. But rather than actually portray the events that led to it, she just had to be treated like shit the entire movie. Losing all nuance of people who struggle with suicidal ideation and the reality of her life by not acknowledging any of the good she was able to do with her fame.

Like, it’s okay if you still like the film. But please don’t walk away from it thinking this actually happened this way.

I liked Andrew Dominick’s movies before but seeing him say this makes me completely uninterested in Blonde

 

Movies “no one really watches” like The Asphalt Jungle, Some Like it Hot, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes are forgotten and unimportant. I love Monkey Business too, with Cary Grant.

 

He’s an idiot but 98% of the people that stumble across Blonde on Netflix have never seen a MM movie before.

 

Will be watching and ignoring how weird and meta it is that Netflix is doing a show about a failing Blockbuster.
