All this drama is exhausting. I just want to enjoy a fun, weekly, wrestling promotion.

I wonder if he takes some of the discipline issues for granted because he's spent his whole life reading and hearing about the behind the scenes conflict at all of the biggest companies and territories? I'm not saying he should have that conclusion, but a mark like him might genuinely think "This is normal. I have to let the boys be boys." One can say Vince wouldn't let this happen on his watch - when in reality he let all sorts of violence and drama play out in his locker rooms, unless he was already waiting for an excuse to get rid of someone.

 

they need a locker room leader, it can't all go on the owner. wwe had undertaker to hold wrestler's court and get people in line. aew doesn't really seem to have the same.

 

Sounds like Andrade is trying to get fired and Sammy didn’t actually do anything last night. I still hate Sammy, but Andrade is completely out of line trying to start fights to get released. I doubt WWE wants anything to do with that type of drama.

 

things were way more chaotic when taker was doing wrestlers court than they are now in wwe. he wasn't holding anyone accountable or getting anyone in line, he was just an asshole

I think you are seeing some former WWE guys who want to go back but are in contracts and are trying to do anything they can to get out of those contracts. Whether its smart to think you assaulting someone to get out of your contract is going to get WWE to sign you back is a bold move. That said, if you had an inkling that something like this might happen from the management side, not sure why you bring both of them to TV.

I do wonder though how that backdoor contact by Haitch went and whether he truly told some of these folks to do anything they can to get out of their contracts like I have seen talked about.

Oh absolutely ! But what Tony needs to realize is this isn’t the 90s anymore and things are easily accessible now due to social media. Can you imagine all the dirt that would come out about hbk in the 90s if social media was a thing than.

Only skimmed through the show/thread last night, so apologies if this was already mentioned, but holy shit….

 

As someone whose current save on FM21 is at 390 days, 8 hours, and 32 minutes of game time....don't do it Eddie!

 

I mean neither of them should have posted stupid shit on social media. That’s a dumb move. I know people do justifiably shit on Meltzer, but I trust Bryan Alvarez and it does go in line with Andrade’s recent social media posts about wanting out. Sammy is still an ass hat and dumb as shit. They should just get rid of both of them. Easy way to reduce the roster size and give other people TV time. It’s not like either guy is a big draw.

That is where it gets tricky for me at least on the Andrade side of things. If you know a guy is wanting out of his contract to go back to your competitor, if you let him go whether he fought or not it sets a precedent that can be used by others who want to do the same. Same goes for starting fights hoping that you will get released out of your contract as well. Not sure how you would handle that from a management side of things other than just letting Andrade sit at home until his contract is out.

 

Yeah they could just suspend him without pay for as long as they legally could and then sit him at home. Tony has the money and needs to prove a point one way or another. It’s definitely a tricky situation, but Tony has to do something to stop the inmates from running the asylum.

 

It’s probably for the best that I don’t know the real stat, because I just leave it running all the time.

 

So even tho Sammy is a piece of shit it sounds like Andrade sucker punched him - so yeah he’s just trying to get fired - hopefully TK just suspends him indefinitely

It's also possible (but unlikely) that, outside of sending some asshat tweets, Sammy did nothing wrong.

But if you're going to suspend people Brandon Cutler because they were around when a fight broke out and tried to break it up but you want to get to the bottom of what happened so you suspend every involved while you investigate (which is the right thing to do)... its ridiculous to turn around and let Sammy wrestle without clearing the air about what happened first
