I never really fucked with ADTR but their audience is now in the early stages of having kids/growing older and this is a prime opportunity for a relaxed night out hearing acoustic versions of songs they used to do spin-kicks in the pit to.

 

Why do they have 3 Illinois shows. But not a single one in Chicago. I absolutely hate driving to Joliet and I absolutely hate the forge

 

I've never heard of the Hard Times Cafe, where they're playing in Fredericksburg. Looks like it's a chili restaurant.

I'm always a little surprised at how often tours skip DC, but I'd be happy enough if shows started hitting Fredericksburg instead of Richmond.

(Not that I plan on hitting this tour in particular, just generally speaking)

 

what is even keeping the word alive afloat at this point? i know telle is friends with ronnie radke, is he bankrolling them?

 

I can’t imagine Ronnie Radke is very philanthropic

 

Lol weird, I just saw on FB where someone who is/was in a few local bands from around my hometown is TWA’s touring guitarist.

 

i dunno man, i assume he's been housing michael vampire for he better part of 10 years now since who the fudge listens to vampires everywhere lmao

 

I was thinking the same, there must be a point where touring as the opening band of every tour you play is not profitable unless they sell an insane amount of merch on every stop.

Like at least Hawthrone Heights have the appeal of having some "hits" in the emo scene and they managed to put the Ohio Is Lover festival, but not sure what TWA has for them.

 

It absolutely is a chili restaurant in a strip mall and not the place I'd expect to see these bands, honestly. There's a spot in downtown Fredericksburg that I'd think would be a better venue, but that's all I've got.
(I used to live there so it's just really funny to see Hard Times Cafe as a venue)

Co-headliner with Miss May I for their 10 year anniversary of their debut but even that was a co-headliner.

 

anniversary tours shouldn't count

 

They had a headliner in 2016, only remember because this happened at the Pensacola date.

The Word Alive tour manager allegedly jumped and beaten by local band

 

This is a classic example of tours that always go to The Forge.

 

They could have played bottom lounge or something in the city that has similar capacity. They played bottom lounge earlier this year if I recall correctly. But it wasn’t a headliner

 

It's probably too much of a risk for them to do that. They were just there like 3 months ago.

 

TWA has been Telle and Zack for like the better part of a year or two. They've been touring with ex members of Being As An Ocean and From Ashes to New (ironically) if I remember correctly.

They did 2016 at the very least. I only know because I went for Volumes and Invent Animate.

 

Im surprised to see Gayle above Waterparks or Mayday Parade. 4 of her 5 more listened songs on Spotify are different versions of "abcdefu"

She has a ton of industry connections behind her. I’m sure her team insisted on this billing.
