Every Ed Sheeran show has like a week gap. They must feel there will be enough demand for multiple shows in a lot of these cities. Probably will be.

Hell yes. My #2 bucket list “to see” live band. I wish I saw them before the one member passed.

Where’d you hear this? Wonder what the lineup will look like.

No disrespect to Andy Fletcher but he, even by his own admission, did very little in the studio and live as his role took on more of a managerial position as well as being there to essentially guide Martin Gore so I imagine they'll just augment his minor keyboard/bass playing to a touring gun. Still be weird to see DM without him.

Saw them on the Universe tour and knew very little of their music, but left feeling like I just had a religious experience

My first time seeing them was in 2013 at the Live On Letterman taping. Almost lost my shit when they broke out "Barrel Of A Gun".

Makes sense that Depeche Mode are only doing 4 cities in NA. Can probably do multiple nights and way to cut down on costs moving their production from city to city. Their following in the US/Canada is definitely not as fanatic as in Europe/Asia.

A lot of the NFL stadium tours often operate with two stages so that one city can set up while the other hosts so they can do more shows. Maybe costs have driven it down to one and they need full weeks between shows due to staging, too.

Nah definitely to add more dates. You have to pay a whole crew regardless of if there is a show going on that day or not so definitely will maximize as best they can.

It said “among others”. I don’t think those four are the only ones.

Maybe I'm out of the loop but Ed Sheeran being this popular is blowing my mind.

Same, I knew he was big but didn’t realize that big. I assumed most of his plays were from like Target/retail playlists and such. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who listed Ed Sheehan as one of their fav artists.

Looks like he had quite a big decline is album sales (not like that matters in 2022 tho) between his lists recent and his record from 2017. Sold almost 300k less the first week on his most recent release compared to the previous one.

He's consistently the #1 spotify artist in the world and his last tour is listed on wiki as the highest selling tour (revenue) of all time (with inflation #2).

I mean, I don't get why, he's quite that popular, but I certainly recognize that he is.

EDIT: The only part that makes that less impressive is the gross per show. #10 in that regard.

The lower gross could be due to lower ticket prices vs the competition.

He did a lot more smaller shows - Around 35k per (if everyone on Wiki is accurate). Either way, he'll have no problem on this next tour and I can't imagine that extra dates won't get added in cities that show the demand for it.

Ed Sheeran was the soundtrack to my trip to Italy several years ago. Not because I like him, but because he was being played eeveeryywherreee
