why can’t they just get another vocalist

 

He hasn't allowed phones at his shows for years.

 

I held up my Yondr pouch lastnight like I was taking a picture during David Cross’ set, and I got a good chuckle from the guy next to me. So at least that was nice.

 

I've only had to have them when I've seen Dave Chappelle and the shows are usually so quick moving you don't even miss them tbh.

 

Yeah I had to do one of those when I saw John Mulaney last year and honestly, it was alright. There was a brief moment during his set where he thought he saw a cell phone and freaked out a little, but it wasn’t one. Idr what it was he saw

 

i can absolutely see brand new coming back in the next few years, and the tour will sell out quick. it's actually amazing how little people care today what jesse did but i can see them riding the current emo nostalgia wave

 

I think they would have come back by now if they wanted to.

I think (and hope) they remain defunct.

 

I just don't really see it. Obviously they have a ton to gain financially from doing that but they also started hyping up the end of the band years before Science Fiction even dropped. Maybe that was just a ruse, idk, but I really don't think we're going to hear from them again.

 

One of my coworkers was playing some Brand New a few months back and we got to talking about them. We were talking about Science Fiction and I said something along the lines of “yeah I loved that album so much, but I just can’t listen to it after everything that came out about Jesse.” My coworker had absolutely no idea about what a happened and I had to explain everything to him.

If BN were to tour again, “people not caring” wouldn’t be the only factor, but a lot of people simply just don’t know any details of the situation

 

This is what most of us who are constantly online don't realize. A lot of people who listened to BN from 2001-07 aren't as online anymore and likely just have no idea what happened.

 

Even though Electric Callboy dropped off the tour, AttackAttack will still play the below dates as solo headliners.

The Dababy fall off is real. He is playing a 1200 cap room in Nashville.

 

DaBaby become DaToddler and isn't as cute anymore. It happens.

 

I might actually go to that Attack Attack tour now. Fewer bands? Better date? Count me in.

 

Looks like Undeath is getting added to at least part of the In Flames tour in October.

Also Like Moths To Flames and Cane Hill co headliner dates popping up.

I met a gal during Riot Fest and she told me she was a huge BN fan. She didnt know much about the allegations nor care that much, her response was "separate the art from the artist"

 

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This has nothing to do with my personal views just how the industry is. At the end of the day no one actually cares. If Brand New announced a tour tomorrow in arenas it would sell out. ADTR keeps getting bigger and playing arenas, four year strong still sell tons of tickets. That As I Lay Dying Reunion tour a few years ago sold every single ticket, like the tour was sold out weeks in advance. That Arcade Fire/Beck tour looks like it’s gonna happen. Hell Chris Brown still sells out arenas regularly. We are in the minority for caring, but ultimately people don’t.
