Watched Wolf of Snow Hollow tonight, wasn’t what I was expecting at all (wasn’t really familiar with Jim Cummings) but I loved it

I’m 3 episodes into Chucky and having a good time with it. Perfect, goofy horror for daytime watching.

Very interested in Sole Survivor upon learning it’s the proto-Final Destination. I’m not seeing it verified anywhere but it looks and sounds like a novel by the same name written by Dean Koontz that I read years ago

 

Sole Survivor rocks.

I am currently watching Speak No Evil, and I’m very worried about what’s coming, but I vaped a little more than I meant to and the anxiety this movie is giving me is unreal, haha.

 

Listen I loved it…I’ll probably be in the minority. It’s the perfect fever dream.

 

Oof, Speak No Evil was fucked. I usually avoid this type of film so I’m not sure why I chose it considering I had seen some von Trier comparisons and saw general reactions to it, but oh well! I loved the buildup and as someone who is extremely socially anxious and HATES being in uncomfortable situations, this movie really got to me, both in terms of its horror and it’s pitch black humor. I don’t know how I feel about the last quarter of it (Funny Games comparisons are spot on) but the couple not being quite on the same page and not communicating at extremely crucial moments was surprisingly plausible with regard to why they didn’t just nope the fuck out bunny be damned.

 

Yeah I was unsettled in a way I haven’t been in awhile during Speak No Evil

 

Man, October/Halloween is going to be tough after splitting with my partner, especially watching horror movies all month long. Hoping I can still find some joy and distraction in them, though, so I’m going to start early and fun with a Final Destination series rewatch.
