I mean obviously depending on your budget the answer is going to be different, but from what I know, the way to go wrt to still photography is Canon.

It really comes down to how serious you are about getting into it, what you intend to photograph, and what your budget is. If it's something you really want to dive into and spend time with, I'd look into a DSLR or mirrorless camera - both Canon and Sony are excellent in this department. What's nice about those is that, even if you go with a lower end camera, you can then invest more money into a better lens, to really take your photos up a notch. Sony also offers some pretty nice portable cameras as well, without needing the bulky lenses. Keep in mind though that these DSLR/mirrorless cameras can run several thousand dollars, so plan accordingly. In terms of editing photos, Lightroom is pretty powerful, but takes a while to learn. There is a Lightroom app you can use though, to simply/speed up the process, especially if you plan on having your workflow being "Camera ----> Phone ----> share on social media app", which I do fairly often.

I have a Canon R5, which cost me $$$$, but I plan on having it for many years, learning it's nuances as I use it more, and will do a bunch of traveling and outdoor photography with it. I have a website as well I try to sell prints on, so I need a high MP sensor camera that can generate large, high quality prints.

My new job gives employees a $650 allowance for office supplies. They sent a 27 inch monitor, a fkin $2000 Dell laptop, and a $90 keyboard/mouse combo as the default setup so I'm good there. The no-brainer move is a second monitor, but I do already have one of my own I can use. I also have one of those sit/stand things that sits on top of my desk rather than the whole desk being a sit/stand combo, so a desk might be an option (already have a basic desk).

Any suggestions for home office essentials? The list of eligible items is as follows:

    - headset/headphones/speakers (I do have my own $120 wireless headphones, not the best but it works. It's also not a job that requires a headset tbh)
    - cables
    - webcam (already have one built into the laptop and I have a secondary one)
    - printer or printing supplies (would be more useful for non-work things)
    - desk (a true standing desk would be useful), chair (could def be improved), chair mat, other ergonomic stuff
    - general supplies like pens, etc

The cool part is that whatever we use the allowance for we actually get to keep. I was toying with the idea of just getting AirPods for my wife lol and then using the rest for something actually useful.

I’m pretty well versed in adobe cloud and it’s editing apps such as Lightroom, photoshop, etc which is why I want to start taking my own photos to edit. I want to focus primarily on outdoor, nature, and fall aesthetics since it will be September soon. My limit is $1200 for a body. I’m still not sure if mirrorless or DSLR is the way to go either. I want to capture video on whatever I buy as well and I’ve heard mirrorless gets better video quality.

Does anyone know how to stop seeing other people's transactions on Venmo on iOS? I found one Reddit thread that mentioned unfriending people, but I didn't actually add them, it just pulled from my phone's contacts.

It seems like Venmo just leaves it up to individual users to adjust their own privacy settings?

  6. The Verge's redesign is truly terrible, right? It's not just me?

I've never found a way. I just set my privacy settings to the strictest they could be and habitually click right to the "Me" tab when I open the app. The social aspect of Venmo has always been so weird to me.

I got a Google Pixel 6a last week and I love it. I had been using an iPhone 11 Pro Max for a couple years which I liked way more than I actually expected to, so there was a slight readjustment period since I hadn't used Android in a few years but within a day I completely got the hang of everything again.

Does it have the fingerprint scanner on the back still? I'm currently in a Pixel 3(?)

No, it's built into the screen. It can be a little finicky but the more I use it, the less temperamental it seems to become

    1) how rich are you now that you're famous? Or your wife at least.
    2) did you get to meet Yvonne? She seemed nice
    3) didn't realize y'all were in that area now. I grew up about 1.5 hours south of there
