I like how they had his blaster still make the gun cocking sound when he snuck up on the main cop

My first thought was that it was a warning as well, until the officer said that. But the way Maarva was talking about the noise seemed to reinforce the notion that it was for intimidation. I suppose it could serve both purposes seeing as it definitely got in their heads.

I thought the opening title sequence was a death star reveal at first. I was quickly relieved to find I was wrong.

Just the concept of corporate police in this is a breath of fresh air too. It was a potential direction I thought they could take in 9 after TLJ brushed upon war profiteering. So I'm glad to see that idea being picked up somewhere.

I thought the metal banging outside of the buildings was a type of alarm or notice, similar to how they do something similar in the bell tower. Just on a smaller scale. It was a super cool cultural part of their town.

We have seen a similar group in Rebels. The mining guild.

It's been a while since I rewatched rebels. I don't remember this at all. Been planning a rewatch at some point.

They generally had to do with resources based stories. One that comes to mind is when the space whales are introduced. Pretty sure they were running the fuel station they were trying to steal from. They would have yellow TIE fighters with their logo on it I think.

  12. Third episode was indeed very good

The third episode was really good. Overall I thought the scenes across the three eps were rich with different characters and droids which were reminisce of the OG trilogy.

Wow, this totally lived up to the hype. It looks fucking amazing and I'm really immersed in the story already. Luna is already even better here than he was in Rogue One

  15. My only complaint is I feel the sound is mixed weird or something. the dialogue is muffled a lot of the times.

I didn’t notice anything like that for me on my tv or tablet (I switched back and forth as I watched).

I noticed this in the first episode. It seemed to be better for the next two though.

I've been annoyed & angry at Tony Gilroy since all of the interviews surrounding the release of Rogue One and how much of a pretentious prick he came off as in them, but this show is great. I love it so far.

I feel like the metal banging they do when the cops are ambushing Andor is a little different than the guy in the big tower with the cool looking hammers. The latter seemed more ceremonial or as some kind of tradition to me, like he does it at a certain time(s) on a schedule and there is some significance to it, whereas the former definitely seemed more situational, like as a warning and to intimidate and disorient the cops. The metal banging would be sorta related, because it's something they seem to to do there apparently, but I thought the instances were subtly different.

I really love the touches in this show like the guy up in the big tower banging on the metal with the hammers, if you can't tell.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

isn't hammer dude literally just announcing the start of the workday/ringing the morning bell? idk if there's any deeper meaning to it than that

he fucking rules though, wish I had that much passion for my job
