Seriously considering selling one of my guitars and getting the Jim signature Tele. I love how the white one looks.

 

God has cursed me into being a left handed guitarist so if I ever come across a stupid amount of money I'm putting it into a left handed JA signature

 

the wood grain one is cool. the pickups sound awful but that's an easy fix/no one's fault but fender's

Listened to the 30 something track version of Futures today with all the bsides and demos and it’s such a god damn perfect record. Easily my

 

This was great.

1.) Great song choices
2.) I could listen to Jim talk about his perspective on music/creation all day long.
3.) Super weird, but super cool to see Tom play a Fender/Tele!
4.) These guys don’t age

I listened to the Mark Trombino sessions Futures today and it hit the spot!

 

What are the best Jimmy Eat World songs about love? I find Jim often writes more about love lost, longing or something unrequited.

I ask because I’m getting married next year and I absolutely have to incorporate as many songs as I tastefully can. Would love to hear the threads thoughts.

Mind you that album is probably their most deceptively hopeful ...

 

For Me This is Heaven

 

We had three JEW songs as part of our wedding. “For Me This Is Heaven” as one of the slow dances, the acoustic version of “Coffee and Cigarettes” on the cocktail hour playlist, and “Sweetness” as a near-the-end-of-the-night singalong.

 

Love this. I really wish that the band had kept the recorded version of Chase This Light acoustic because lyrically that song is perfect for a wedding.

 

I know this is the opposite answer, but for me, all the breakup songs on Damage are still about love. And I enjoy that record more than most people

 

This has always been one of my favorite JEW songs about love and it’s one of the songs my wife and I danced to at our wedding.

i think the title track on Chase This Light is quite romantic. the chorus of All The Way is very celebratory too

 

Invented is obviously a gorgeous love song. Not as many direct, reciprocated-love songs by this band. But they sure make spite sound good.

 

Been a huge fan since Bleed American came out (I was 9 at the time). Stars finally aligned and I got to see the for the first time in Richmond. Absolutely worth the wait, they played 21 songs and I new every lyric and guitar chord played on stage. REALLY hoping they announce a new album, I realize singles is how the music biz works nowadays, but it's not the same as listening to a whole album.

 

Anyone know what time Charly Bliss has usually been going on?
