Chicago. What a cool and oddball set you apparently got last night.

No way I could have handled a late night show after the fest yesterday but I'm very jealous of that set.

 

I mean, the Static songs are odd, but nothing else really is, IMO.

 

I mean, opening with a bonus track from basically their first album, Static. Throwing another Static song just for good measure. Clarity. Damage. No Bleed American or Futures? Playing The Middle right…in the middle? Seems like an outlier set to me, especially viewed in the context with every preceding date on this tour.

 

I said the Static songs are odd. The rest aren’t a big deal, IMO.

 

Yeah, I was thinking they almost always played Futures and Bleed American and rarely threw in 5 songs from Clarity, which didn’t include Lucky Denver Mint, which has been in the set the other four times I’ve seen them in four different tours. And nothing from Chase This Light. Sorry, I’ll stop now. Haha.

 

This is an oddball set.

Do what you feel, Mr. Adkins and company. Do what you feel. If it's singles only, I'm hoping they'll at least do some 7"s or compile them all on a 12".

 

Despite my previous comments in this thread, I will take new Jimmy Eat World in any form I can get it. "Something Loud" was probably my song of the summer

 

I’ll gladly wait for an album.

I wish more big bands would do set lists like Jimmy does. You never know what you’re gonna get at a Jimmy show, but bands like Blink will play the exact same set every single night.
