How long until we get a follow-up to Earth is a Black Hole?

 

They’re recording it as we speak so I would say Spring of next year?

No idea but they are recording in LA so I wouldn’t be surprised if Colin is back.

Different issue.

My post is almost an exact quote from a post in the accountability thread from a while back, but I don't want to quote that user and bring them in here.

 

For context, I just dug up the original allegations and the response from Chase, the former guitarist, who I'm assuming Elder Lightning is talking about. Had to use the way back machine since all their accounts are nuked:

Can we not be cryptic and post the issue if one exists.

 

Basically, after the original allegations came out and were addressed by the band, a (very trustworthy) community member made a post in the accountability thread that implied there were more problematic members in Teenage Wrist than just the one that was kicked out. The post Elder Lightning made is a copy and paste of that post. There are no other public details out there

 

I don't have anything else to share. As I mentioned, there is a post in the accountability thread from someone I respect and believe and who, to my understanding, was personally involved in the situation. I do not want to directly quote that post here because I don't think it's appropriate to cause that person to take part in a discussion they have not volunteered for and may re-traumatize them.

 

I'm not going to say any more on it and I'm not going to come in here and chastise anyone for listening or discussing the band or their music, I just wanted to make sure that was mentioned as new music is being released and discussed.

 

New song is great. I'm really looking forward to more.

I don't intend to support abuse or abuse apologists, and I normally can't stand people who say things like this, but: I haven't seen anything attached to either of the two current members of Teenage Wrist that clearly and credibly links them to abusive behavior. I'll revise my support for this band if something changes that, but that's where I am right now.

 

Is the bad person still in the band?

 

The post I referenced was made in March 2021 and I am not aware of any lineup changes since then.

For anyone not aware, Kam started a project called Heavenward after leaving Teenage Wrist. His debut LP has just been announced for 6/16
