Head of 343 is leaving the company due to some family medical issues

 

I truly hope everything is ok in her world.

That being said, I am very interested to see how this shakes things up for 343.

 

AC Origins all night last night and so far all day. probably gonna dive back into Dragon Quest XI soon here though. also still gotta get back to Tyranny, if average playtimes on howlongtobeat are any measure ive got maybe 7-8 hours left.

 

the video game industry is absolutely brutal especially a huge studio like 343 so im not surprised to see a head leaving due to family medical stuff going on, though i hope the current problems theyre facing with the infinite shit didnt impact her personal life too badly but you know how it is. still hope they can get the franchise back on track without having to dump it onto another microsoft studio.

 

currently 120 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and haven't played anything else since I started it

 

Real gamers know to not buy ubi games at launch

 

i hardly buy any non-indie games at launch or even full price months down the line. shit goes on sale on steam constantly and i keep my wishlist updated and check my email frequently plus have push notifications on my phone when something on my list goes on sale.

ive been dying to get final fantasy vii remake on my steam deck but 70 for a digital game is ludicrous. i refuse to pay that. been checking in on it for a sale every day.

 

nvm im actually playing some octopath traveler rn. may as well go ahead and unlock all 8 party members, im up to 4 now. theron is my main.

 

I decided to tackle all 8 stories concurrently, and it does make the game a bit of a slog. I think im sat at around 65 hours playtime and I haven't finished a single characters story yet.

 

this game is the reason I bought my Switch when it was still an exclusive lol

 

Once I recruit everyone I’m gonna stick to like 3-4 stories til the end and then go back and do the others if I feel like it but probably won’t

 

Ive wanted to replay Octopath for so long ugh

 

I promise you, the premise really doesn't get much clearer from when you started the game. Just roll with it.

 

Saw rumours Sony might announce a new AAA IP some time this month. That State of Play tomorrow seems a good shout if so
