72 degrees always while in the house. 75 when not

I usually set the AC to 74 degrees, my mom usually sets it to 77, and this eternal struggle for control of the temperature will likely never be resolved in our lifetimes.

Also, I'm getting my Moderna Bivalent Booster at Walgreens tomorrow! I was surprised there was no wait time or elligibility requirement. I'd definitely reccomend looking for appointments now, if you haven't yet.

It takes more energy to get it back down to 72 once you set it to 75. Might as well leave it at 72.

This and in-unit laundry, the top two things I can’t imagine not having again. I’ve grown accustomed to this lifestyle.

I don’t think it is true but I think the ac unit has to work harder to get it back down than to maintain. Maybe? I don’t know.

A/c , laundry, and dishwasher are REQUIRED for me now. I refuse to live without them.

I didn’t even use my dishwasher until my gf moved in, it’s definitely easier but I don’t mind dishes as much especially if it’s just me.

I live in an apt with no dishwasher and a washer/dryer in a sketch little shack behind the building. Can't wait to get the hell out of here.

Ours is at 78 during the day and 76 at night. With the reduction in humidity plus ceiling fans it's nice and comfortable.

I’d love a ceiling fan, I only have a little cheap one that barely works

I can't wait to see what my electric bill is this month. After the water damage in my house two weeks ago, we had two dehumidifiers and about 25 air movers running 24/7 for five straight days. Because the dehumidifier's put off heat, our A/C was running for its life. We always have our A/C run between 72-74 but the Dehumidifiers were making our house 80 most days, so at night the A/C would finally catch up once the sun went down. So it was definitely working extra hard for five straight days...and water is included in our electric bill, and we had water running continuously for hours - hence the water damage!

just from my experience the ac kicks on A LOT longer to get back down from 75 to 72 whereas if we keep it at 72 is doesn't kick on nearly that much.
