idk FOB does/did a lot of things that a lot of bands do and do well...they just do it best/better

Folie A Deux is amazing, I love every single vocal run patty stumps does on that record. Some of the songs are sort of lackluster, but they all have strong elements and when they're good they're great. Coffee For Closers is a highlight.


I do wish they would turn down the hyped up pop music thing down for the next album, but they do write really good pop songs still. Novocaine has an insane chorus.

 

I think Save Rock & Roll is miles ahead of everything else Fall Out Boy has done... Except for "What a Catch, Donnie", which is easily their best song.

Chevelle is a very good band. Only albums I didn't care for too much where hats off to the bull and their latest one. First 4 and La Gargola I loved.

 

Agreed, their new one is so mediocre (for a hard rock band). I think they peaked with Vena Sera but La Gargola is good too.

 

I can find some enjoyment in a lot of the butt rock bands, but I don't like Chevelle at all

 

Agreed, Vena Sera is my favorite from them and thought they lost it until I heard La Gargola. Sad they lost it again lol.

 

What "butt rock" bands do you enjoy?

 

Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin to an extent, and Linkin Park if they count. Oh and some Seether

 

I've never lustened to any of these pop punk bands yall are talking about lol
