I’m going to cry if the new Friday movie is good.

 

Started The Innocents last night. Reviews are crazy good. Enjoying it so far.

Watched A Lonely Place to Die. Concept was fucking awesome. Something about mountain climbers bring hunted, getting ropes cut and shit rules. Movie fell apart half way through. Any sense of horror was completely dropped for dumb schlock. Real bummer.

 

Rewatched the 2013 Evil Dead. The direction and effects in it are SO good.

 

It’s one of the best horror remakes ever if you ask me.

 

Yep. Still great. Some of the gnarliest gore I've seen in a mainstream horror film, and some pretty funny moments, too. The sequence where it rains blood is so fucking sick

 

I don’t know if I’m an outlier, but I loved the Black Phone.

 

Black Phone was a solid film

 

Evil Dead 2013 is badass

 

Anyone seen, or know anything about The Third Saturday in October part V? Sounds pretty cool from what I can find. @Aaron Mook sounds like something you would know about haha.

Part V and VI are on the festival circuit right now. Will be probably be out later this year.

 

I really enjoyed it! I would’ve liked a little more out of Ethan but still very enjoyable.

 

Didn't know there was a horror thread, some recent ones I've liked are the Medium, the Vvitch, Alien, Possessor, and Censor.

 

God, Possessor was so good. Im due for a rewatch. Have you seen The Wailing @incognitojones ?

 

It's nice to see everyone in here enjoys the Evil Dead remake as much as I did. Not only one of my favorite remakes but also one of the scariest movies I've seen in the last decade, and that's even after already having a good idea what's going to happen. Aces.

I forgot I saw Bodies Bodies Bodies too, really fun one that blended the comedy and drama parts super well. Great for what it is.

 

Yeah I think so, if not better. It's more of a slow burn for sure but definitely worth checking out if you enjoyed The Medium.

 

Can never get enough of 2013 Evil Dead. Really should pick it up on blu ray

There is a movie called The Invitation that was released in 2015 and stars Logan Marshall-Green. It is good and worth watching.
