So composed on the ball too. His reading of the game impressed me too. He’s got that bit of Rojo about him where he’ll dive in early, but he seems to have a better view of the game and when to do it.

also seems like a right shithead which we’ve missed.

Am I the only one who cares about Maguire's feelings? You have to think it's a long, long way back for him at United now.

Thing is, they are probably allowed to drop the F-bomb in the Netherlands considering how laid back the country is.

Probably more a reflection of how stuck up and nannying the UK is tbh

It’s after the watershed, shouldn’t it be alright?

Think they'd have gotten away with it from like an Ofcom point of view, but probably cause a lot of kids watch the football and they want to keep a leash on it.

The emotional swing of the post Brentford low to the post Liverpool high today is dizzying lol.

If this group can play with that kind of intensity and character that’s been missing for the last decade while continuing to buy in and perfect the new system, this year will be a win. By all accounts Casemiro seems to be the type of pro who sets the day in day out standards and this group clearly needs characters who patrol the dressing room and refuse to let the focus slip.

It’s amazing just how great a result like that can make you feel, just such an incredible pick me up. Especially with how things have been lately, you can try to detach yourself when the state of things surrounding the club you support gets toxic, but it weighs heavy nonetheless. I’m still buzzing these hours later and my cheeks hurt from smiling.

Think the bigger thing affecting his World Cup chances is probably his ability, but fair play for the ambition.

Yeah, that's the general consensus of our fanbase. He's clearly got talent but it feels like it's years away from materialising, particularly to the point where he's good enough to be a starter for Chelsea with World Cup aspirations.

I think Gordon is very good now to be fair. Seems like an unpopular opinion but for games Chelsea will dominate he’s a cracking player to have on the wing. Mad price though after a single season, makes Antony look a steal.

60m for him is physically painful to read though. We have more talented players like CHO and Pulisic that play that position - the manager struggles to get any consistency out of our entire attack, and throwing money at positions we are already decent in is not the answer to that conundrum. Aubameyang and a CB should be the final bits of business we do IMO

Though I really can’t believe Chelsea are going to give Barca 22m profit on a player they got for free 8 months ago

From my view, he's good at pressing but that should be the bare minimum of a modern day footballer. And when I say he's good at pressing, it's only for 60 (70 at a push) minutes. From then on he looks like he's unfit due to trying his best. Problems arise then with his composure infront of goal. We saw it in what could quite literally be his last game for the club v Forest. He was clean through in injury time and instead of trying to round Henderson, he just shot it straight at the keeper. That was incredibly frustrating. He can be incredibly frustrating. That said, he does have age on his side.
