Not super passionate about either of these. Kind of wish some of these matchups were shifted so that I could have voted for Futures and Purple Rain over these albums. But I definitely go back to Pinkerton more of these two, so that's my vote.

Well, as a band that should have been featured in this tournament somewhere once said, you can't always get what you want.

Hey, the Stones topped my ballot twice! And neither of those albums lost to The Beatles.

 

If it was Blue Album I would have gone with that. I choose London Calling.

 

Easiest matchup in the whole thing

 

London Calling is my favourite album from the whole 64 individual winners. Not sure who’s left / who I’d want to win after it, but there’s barely any albums I’d take over it.

 

London Calling has higher highs (London Calling, Lost in the Supermarket, Guns of Brixton, Train in Vain)and none of the lows of Pinkerton (Pink Triangle, Tired of Sex).

 

It's the Clash. Come on.

 

London Calling has classics on it but I don't listen to a lot of the record anymore

Voting for The Clash. Love Pinkerton but the lore of it means it's essentially a bit over-rated these days.

If you listen to the guitar solo in Tired of Sex immediately prior to voting, you are statistically guaranteed to vote Pinkerton

 

Narrowly giving this to London Calling. Honestly a couple weeks ago I probably would've gone Pinkerton, but I listened to London Calling again for the Turnstile match up and it really is pretty undeniable.

 

Went with London Calling. I gotta say I have no real strong feelings on any of this weeks match ups.

 

yeah london calling might have some of the best songs of this matchup but it's also pretty bloated/uneven

What do you think is bloated about it, out of interest? I think it’s one of the leanest double albums going.
