I would love to be in bed by 8 pm every night lol. I actually tried to do that for a few weeks awhile back and going to try it again. Wake up early, and get exercise out of the way. I love waking up early and getting shit done, always makes me feel so accomplished while most of the world slacks off but it’s just so hard for me to consistently do that lol

It’s tough to start but once you get in a routine it’s great because you will essentially be tired by the time it’s time to go to bed AND it prevents late night snacking.

I had a virtual training during the morning the other day so I thought of this thread and exercised while I listened to the training in the morning instead of excercising after work like usual. I did feel great and motivated for other parts of my day but then around 5pm I wanted to crash hard. But even if my body is tired my brain is always like lol nope and so I couldn't sleep early so I was just a zombie the next day. I do find myself naturally getting up a lil earlier these days so I'm hoping that'll keep progressing and I'll make headway there

Take it easy your first ~6weeks here. Your body needs to adjust to the altitude and build your white blood cell count back up.

Is that why I feel like I have a mild cold every day? Haha

yes, drink lots of water, get lots of sleep, and just take it easy those first few weeks. i never had issues with sinuses until i moved here so be on the look out for that as well.

Do any of you do Burn Boot Camp? I’m sort of tired of peloton and have been unmotivated. My good friend does Burn and likes it, but she also used to do CrossFit back in the day and am not trying to get involved in that type of gym. I have 0 strength or muscle and would really like to be stronger + get some cardio in.

We have two in our house that we usually run in fall and winter. It helps in winter especially when the air is fucking dryyyyy but spring and summer you get some rain, there’s just no moisture in the air and a little humidifier helps but isn’t gonna make too big of a difference. Just drink water as much as you possibly can really. Sunscreen, moisturizer (which i don’t do lol), and chapstick are gonna be year round things you’ll want to have handy. Even being acclimated and going up to the mountain towns a few thousand feet up will do me in as well so it’s just how it is up here. Your body will learn to adapt to the altitude and humidity after a bit for exercise, but skin care and hydrating are constant here.

I got bored of my 10k app. I discovered I like the walk/run interval part but when it comes to just jogging for like 25 minutes straight? Meh. Gonna see if I can find one that focuses more on the interval than just running as much as possible.

Worked at a summer camp all summer so this morning was my first time back in the gym since the end of May. Felt so good.

Nah, depends on how early. If I’m doing a 5 am workout I just take my pre workout and that usually suppresses my appetite til after. If I go 9/10 am though I’ll usually make some eggs and a clif bar.

Yes. Usually a piece of toast with peanut butter and a little fruit. Otherwise I crash pretty hard when lifting.

I always eat a breakfast meal after, but occasionally I’ll have a cup of yogurt beforehand if I’m starving.

  25. I eat right after the workout. The couples times I tried eating before, I felt like I was gagging. When I wake up in the morning, it's like my body can't handle any food and has to wait a little bit.
