Feels like I haven't seen Thunder Rosa much at all lately and she's the champ.

 

Alvarez has a good point the other day saying TK urgently needs to amp up he booking or move the responsibility to someone else because Triple H loves his womens division and is very focused on making it special.

TK usually hears things that Alvarez says and it’s a great point. Hunter is also smart and he knows womens wrestling is probably the biggest advantage booking/talent wise that WWE has.

I don't think its as easy as "move responsibility for booking the women's division to someone else". That is likely to even further compound the "Women get a single slot on the show" problem.

Instead, he needs multiple people involved with the booking process to be pushing to do a better job integrating the women into the show. And needs to do a better job listening to them

also like... maybe revisit the whole idea of doing intergender matches? Shouldn't put anyone into a match they are uncomfortable with, but its wrestling. The whole "women can't fight the men cause they are too weak / it wouldn't be believable if they won" is a relic of the past that should die with Vince and WWE.

 

Is there much of a difference between moving responsibility and needing multiple people involved lol

 

Moving responsibility doesn't fix the problem of a lack of time

 

Yep, how many times have we heard of people in WWE pushing for a Dana Brooke or similar person...and it doesnt matter because unless they are booked in a match they cant build anywhere.

For it to be someone else doing the decision making, Tony would have to say "you get 20mins of Dynamite and at least 10mins of Rampage" and then that person can decide "Ok, 7min Toni match (so 10 w/ entrances) w/ Thunder on commentary, Jamie Hayter getting a match and promo or Anna/Tay in tag action fills the other 10" and "Athena/Ford + Jade promo fills rampage". Then you can start logically booking somewhere. You can plan out several weeks of matches so people dont disappear for months at a time. If your obvious #1 contender gets hurt 3 weeks before a PPV, you know you have that time to play with to build someone else

And to stick to that in a week with long matches like this week...that would mean that the Gunn Club squash moves a week or moves to Rampage, and we probably lose the Hook and/or Buddy squashes, which is just fine. For something like Quake by the Lake, Mox/Jericho goes 15 instead of 22+

Yeah nothing fixes that but more programming, however you want to put it, TK has too much on his plate.

 

It's not only lack of time right now it's cookie cutter as fuck, that's why I say just let someone else (or collection of people) spend all week thinking about it instead of TK just checking it off his to-do list by booking a random match for the 9:30 slot and quickly moving onto the next thing.
