Newcastle are playing great here. Been a while since a team has taken it to City in this way.

How much has Newcastle's spending increased since they got their Saudi investors?

We look like absolute shit. Newcastle just wants it more.

I'm enjoying this. I fear reprisals.

  9. I’m pretty sure they’ve only spent like €80m or something like that this year. They are spending wisely rather than just splashing cash around.

On moral grounds, I hope they somehow both lose.

To protect our invincible season, i’m a Newcastle supporter today.

    hmmm

City don't usually have their defensive weaknesses exposed because they have so much territory and possession. Newcastle here winning all the second balls and they have three or four players who carry the ball forward really well when they have the space to. ASM occupying Walker, Rodri/Gundogan/Cancelo not the best at defending powerful runners. City the opposite of compact so far.

It's more than that. We dropped £96m in January. I think with the summer signings we're up to £150m, but it's a squad which had been underfunded for years. We still had a lot of championship standard players.

Worth saying that even with the money spent, it's the players signed in Bruce's time that are doing the damage. Saint-Maximin and Joelinton especially.

Makes you wonder what he was doing for two and a half years.

  15. That’s still not as much as Forest and Leeds have spent I’m pretty sure. This feels different than the Saudi splash cashes of the past we have seen. They seem to be really making smart decisions.

Wildly good save by Pope to get a finger on that Haaland shot.

Feel like you could only go to to right with this and doesn't work after the first try which is kind of what we see here.

Chelsea and City getting completely done by Leeds and Newcastle is a wild Sunday.

  22. I started Neco Williams over Trippier in FPL too.

This totally feels like a Pep trying new shit tactically and Newcastle playing with a ton of energy. Really have no clue what the fuck we are trying to do today and the players look lethargic.

    Edit: Welp that goal helps

  24. KDB doing KDB things with that pass.

FUCK. I laughed at your misfortune and gave this a like. Just checked my team, and realised I've got Trippier (7 points) and Andreas (8 points) on my bench also. FML
