So yall, I know this isn't a hot take but my gut is telling me that Moxley is winning this match on Weds.

I could see it being a Punk win and an MJF return though

 

I think the match will end up being a no contest or something like that

 

MJF return feels better for the PPV. Otherwise what do you do with MJF at the PPV?

This is the ideal booking.

 

Don't see the point in having Moxley win Wednesday, particularly when you could just have him win at All Out. All you'd accomplish is that you'd take Punk out of a main event in Chicago, which isn't logical. The best explanation is they don't want a drawn out Punk-Moxley feud and they want to quickly pivot to whatever it was they'd already had planned.

I'm just worried Punk wants out and is doing the job, it makes zero booking sense obvi.

 

Having MJF just get given a title shot after returning seems a bit far fetched. Plus you'd have zero time for a build. And while Punk/MJF don't need a huge build again after their last feud... they could definitely use more than a week.

 

We are just dream booking here.

It would go over incredible with the crowd and would be the match with the most heat in Chicago since MITB 2011.

Chicago don't need more than one week of build for that match.

Punk is just gonna lay down, take the pin, then smash a laptop and say, "Select this, brother!"

 

It's also not far fetched. MJF is pissed off at AEW and feels like he is entitled to more, he saw Punk challenging Hangman from the back and nothing happened, MJF already beat Punk in Chicago, now he wants to beat him again and feels like he is entitled to a title shot (I knowww I knowww he lost his last match, get over it) and of course Punk would accept for every reason imaginable.

Almost everything about this post is really sad. Like, the only somewhat good thing is that they are getting 5-10 minute matches.

But the fact that a two hour show always only has one match with women in it on the card and that its pretty much always in a sub-optimal timeslot is just completely inexcusable.

Definitely feels like the women's division exists in AEW solely because Tony knows he needs to have a women's division but doesn't actually give two shits about it.

I was wondering if this “women’s match in the same slot” thing started after Kenny left tv

 

He has some excellent wrestlers in the womens division too. But all the time he does nothing with them, it just seems like he signed them because he could, not because he had a clue how to book them.
