I'm on a no shorts eating diet they're not vegan friendly

 

More mid tempo songs, more focus on tighter songwriting, more soaring choruses with bigger hooks, less emphasis on angsty teenage lyrics, I'm not saying there aren't shades of pop punk on the record but they definitely matured into a pop rock band starting with that album

 

Is there a band that's music progression became more punk instead of less punk?

The lyrics feel even more teenage angsty on FUTCT and the drumming and songs in general always feel fast and aggressive in spots like TTTYG. TTTYG has mid tempo moments as well. Idk they've both always felt like companions, much like FAD and IOH

 

I think I'm gonna slowly write about fictional bands in my posts.

 

I don't see that at all tbh it's a clear progression into a different sound in my eyes they were able to crossover into the mainstream by downplaying the punk and moving more toward rock and pop melodies and songwriting conventions. Even the production moves away from the pop punk sound and into a more radio style
