I'm almost positive i'm going to build my own PC instead of just buying one, i've never done it but I'm good at learning this shit, I enjoy it.

I built my last PC. I mostly went off the parts recommended on Logical Increments PC Buying Guide (I think I picked parts around the outstanding/exceptional range).

I think the only thing I’d really suggest is to avoid water cooling if it’s your first build. There are some really good thermal CPU fans out there now and I don’t really see a need for water cooling (although I’m also not over locking anything so my heat output isn’t crazy)

Yeah if you read across a row/section all those parts should match up l. The main thing you’ll need to be wary of is that the motherboard and CPU sockets are compatible. Usually if you look at a motherboard specs it’ll tell you what CPU they are compatible with.

Also this is the case I picked up Define R6. I wanted something quite (and I dislike RGB lights so I didn’t need to see inside) and it’s been pretty good for me.

 

Oh and one other site you can use if you want to see if parts are compatible is https://pcpartpicker.com/. You can take the parts from the logical increments site and plug them into pcpartpicker and it should tell you if there are any compatibility issues.

Oh also don’t forget to factor in the cost of buying your Windows OS (I always forget that when specing) computers out.

 

still on that multiversus grind but it’s been tough since now people are really getting into the game and I went from a 100,000 rank to now 400,000 rank which is disappointing.

 

I used PC Part Picker for mine as well, worked perfectly. I was sort of in the same boat as you, just planned on reading/watching videos to learn how to put everything together. I found it really hard to find good videos, because it’s usually very specific to what kind of case/motherboard you buy.

My best advice is to read the manuals that come with YOUR parts. They usually have pretty good diagrams on how to install everything, and in my case there were like QR codes in the manuals that led to videos showing exactly how to install the parts I bought. I found that MUCH more helpful than the generic guides you find on YouTube.
