I actually don’t think the song is too bad. Won’t be a favorite of mine but it’s decent aside from a cringy lyric. Obvs everyone is entitled to their own opinion but it’s not anywhere near as bad as some in this thread were making it out to be.

The song is alright but the lyrics are, if nothing else, really fucking stupid & they kind of ruin the song by association.

lyrics aside its fine. hoping it leads into something great in the closing track.

The song is okay if a little bland/boring. But man that lyric, lol. I don’t know how a person writes that and thinks it’s releasable.

New single and video this Friday.. I must say this release schedule feels a little sporadic on this one. Even compared to when they were flying solo no label. Is it because someday didn't do as well? I guess 4 singles and videos before album release isn't that out the norm these days.. the clip of the song in their story does sound good tho

On the bright side, "Sideways" is a great song.

  9. yeah that was one of my favorites on first listen

I like the first two singles, particularly Coming Home. But they definitely didn't hit me the way the singles from Mother Nature did.

They're playing Brooklyn the same night as the Early November/I Can Make a Mess show, right down the street. Boooooo poor planning!

I think I'm coming around on this album, to the point where I really like the first half. The back half, I think, is still pretty meh, but my current stance on the record as a whole is probably better than what my posts in this thread would indicate.

I already forgot; are we expecting a full album this time around or another EP? Could really use some new TDS all in all, hoping for some more relatable lyrics sometimes though haha. Really enjoyed some of the singles for sure.

A couple years back Thursday was playing the same night as TDS/State Champs/Greyscale... saw the opening act Thursday did, got an uber over to HOB caught Greyscale and TDS, then went back over for the full Thursday set. Was wild, but it worked.

I'd hate to eventually have such an ambudance of different choices hahh, I don't like to miss out on stuff that overlaps - since in my country there's barely anything going on near my city, I'd be upset to miss State Champs in that position hahah. However, I'd definitely choose TEN with ICMAM over almost anything else from the scene, but it still is poor planning.

Best of the bunch released so far.

I have to go with the TEN/ICMAM show for sure, but it would be amazing if TDS's set was at like 11pm and I could just do both.

Which song are you referring to? Not sure if some markets already can listen to sideways

What’s the last support slot this band had for a bigger band? I can’t remember at all

  23. Oh man. It’s been well over a decade at least. I remember seeing them open for Hit The Lights ages ago. They opened for Mayday on a tour sometime around RFTS but they’ve been pretty consistent in being their own headliner. Maybe to their detriment.

Even then, neither were “big” bands at the time.

They opened for State Champs I think 3 years ago? I don't think they qualify as a big band tho. They did say on a recent podcast they would be opening for a big band but not sure when that would be or who it was. It was the podcast they played Big Green Eyes from the album

I find it interesting they never do a support slot on a bigger ish tour. Seems like they mainly play these tiny venues to the same people over and over. But whatever works I guess!
