Servant is great. We finally got around to the third season. Kinda glad season 4 will be the last though. It doesn’t need to be 6+ seasons long.

 

Ya the Apple originals are killing it with For All Mankind, Severance, Servant, Mythic Quest and Ted Lasso. Black Bird was a good limited series. I still have to watch Pachinko, which I've only heard good things about. The Afterparty has also been on my list.

 

Season 2 is really where the show shines. Everything else is kind of a usual CW mess. But that second season is great

Yeah, it made quite the splash. Showrunner handled it incredibly poorly in the lead up to the episode which exacerbated everything

The 100 is…a difficult conversation lol. First couple seasons are strong dissections of class hierarchy (though season two has an unfortunate storyline most fans will remind you about when it comes to the Finn character), and then the third season hits and it falls off pretty hard. Season four is a fairly strong return to form with a genuinely intriguing ending cliffhanger. Season five picks up from that cliffhanger to…occasionally diminishing returns and disturbing storylines that linger on for the rest of the series. Five ends with yet another intriguing game changer of a finale, and then 6 and 7 are the rest of the story with a lot of stumbles, 7 in particular. God the final season/series finale I still…lol I dunno. If someone were to stop watching after the first two or three seasons and then you told them how it ended, the word flummoxed comes to mind.

 

Yeah I stopped after like 4 or 5 and read what happened on Wikipedia and was so confused.

There were Game of Thrones comparisons! They were on top of the world. The CW’s reputation was starting to change with that and Arrow and then both shows just lost it. In The 100’s case, it’s an interesting look at how one poor narrative decision and/or clumsy execution can rank a show’s legacy. Reminds me of how the HIMYM finale practically wiped the show out of the cultural lexicon

 

I mean, you know their reputation now, only 58yo watch CW

 

Started Black Bird today. Made it 3.5 episodes so far and it's damn good. Hoping that it ends with answers and closure
