Ah. I see. I didn't know that's where it came from. I hate our capacity for inventing nice-sounding words for horrible reasons, too. Like, it's got such a nice ring to it as a word, can't we just use it in a nice way? Why are we so fucked as a species?

What's the bet on what was so bad in this classified material that it needed to be seized? Like what dumbass thing did Trump decide to take with him so he could have proof of something he did in his presidency and show to his rich buddies? I'm so curious as to what it was, because the reports are all about how at least something in there was super classified and secret and blah blah.

Like, did he take some secret weapons deal signed with the Saudis or something? I wanna know wtf it was lol

Because you specifically referenced betting… I honestly think it will bear out as having been fairly benign. The more important thing, in a (maybe fantasy)world where Merrick Garland’s frustrating behavior has been in service of biding time and sacrificing small wins for a huge one, this was a convenient way to justify a warrant which the DOJ & FBI believe might turn up new evidence of other stuff and ensure that it won’t qualify as fruit of a poisonous tree.
