Very highly recommend. Vet bills can get crazy almost as quickly as human hospital bills.

We really need to include pets in the "all" of Medicare for All

 

Yeah vets bills are fucking insane if you have to have any procedures done. Our insurance covers 80% of all vet costs.

 

Just a simple dental cleaning can cost an arm and a leg because of the anaesthesia

 

I'm lucky and get pet insurance partially paid for through my job which is nice.

I think alternatively you could just set up a savings account and put the same amount you would pay for pet insurance every month into it.

 

We brought home baby Toast in a cat bed my GF’s parents had lying around, he slept the whole way from Ohio to Chicago. He sleeps in there a lot still and our other bigger cat sleeps in it sometimes too, and sometimes together.

 

Yes! We haven’t found an insurance/vet combo where we currently live that would work and we’ve paid nearly $7000 in vet bills in 2022 for our elderly cat. They add up quick. I will also second a water fountain like mentioned above.

Not remotely enough, and the amount for punitive damages is capped. Pretty gross.

 

According to the SH parents' lawyer, looks like the punitive damages for Jones could actually be significantly more than what I'd been reading.

Doesn’t matter I’m sure he’ll go through a bankruptcy or something and not pay it. Getting a verdict is sometimes a lot easier than collecting
