  1. If this means more German starts I may riot.

I def agree that Orioles being sellers is a bit disappointing.

  6. They couldn’t top the deal for Robertson? He went for an 8th ranked prospect in the Philly organization. They traded three people for Ruf lol and also I disagree. They won’t win anything with this bullpen. I really think we might be blinded by how good they are and how real this feels that we aren’t acknowledging that bullpens make or break championships.

Yeah I mean I was looking at our team and there just aren't any super glaring holes. Catcher, sure,, but no need to sell top prospects to improve 1 part.

I wish DeGrom pitched a few weeks ago. If he's good then the Mets are ready to make a run, if not, another starter may have been the way to go

I definitely wanted more bullpen though. Robertson and Barlow were available.

That’s all they’ve done the last few years and it got them nowhere.

  10. I’m just not a fan of hoarding prospects when the return rate on them is hit or miss. You don’t have to sell the farm but you should be able to use one or two to upgrade significantly where you need it. You don’t wanna just be good enough to get there. You want to cover every possible scenario you can. Just being good doesn’t guaranteed you get back there again. We all assumed 2015 was the start of something great.

Yeah he's a good pitcher, just little rough lately. Idk what the point of this was unless they're going to announce Rodon lol

  12. Yeah, even to just eat some innings ... why weaken the rotation with 2 months left? I'm confused.

I get it, but for the first time in a while the mets may have prospects worth holding. Nothing is guaranteed. You wanna give away alvarez baty and vientos for a good haul and still lose in 6 to the dodgers in the NLCS? I think at a certain point you need to have faith in the team you have.

I guess I’ll come around to it but I’m not really understanding the point of trading Vazquez and not JD Martinez. Wonder if the wanker we got from Chicago is actually supposed to be a good catcher.

Very unhappy at not selling. I don't hate the Hosmer move honestly, he's free and better than any current options and buys you some extra time with Casas, but JD and Eovaldi still being here feels like a huge whiff.

No idea what the Dodgers are doing lol

Division rivals (who they might meet in the playoffs) add Juan Soto and a second solid bat, gets rid of a black hole in their lineup, gets a legit closer, and the Dodgers… trade Jake Lamb for cash, give Mitch White away and hope they can fix Gallo.
