Fwiw, a I've written songs before, but never the chords AND the lyrics by myself, so that was a win for me and gave me the confidence to contribute several more to the record.

Makes sense. The whole composition is excellent. Glad to hear there's more on the record! Seriously excited to hear the rest. I've had Voice of God and the title track stuck in my head all day!

 

New songs sound great! Heaven in a Hurry is such a jam. Listened to the first album recently as well, very solid stuff!

They’re all really good dude!! I think Better Ways might be my fav but the title track chorus is super catchy

 

Thank you!! I think "Better Ways" is my favorite of the singles too. Super excited for everyone to hear "Flow Deep" and "In the Shade."

 

Did one last thing before the album is out next week. It's self-indulgent, but it was fun, and getting press is hard, so fuck it.

Is that you singing?

 

All three of us sing lol - I sing on "Voice of God," "Untethered Moon," "When We Die," and parts of "DIVINE" and the closer. We all kinda sing "Time Capsule" together.

Brian does "Better Ways," "Flow Deep," "Patience in the Silence," and most of "DIVINE" and "In the Shade." Teddy sings the title track, "Deeper," "Better Than I Found It," and "Time Capsule." Those are also pretty respective to the songs we wrote individually before reworking them as a group.

There's a certain band we won't talk about (probably pretty self-evident) that Brian and I covered SO MUCH in high school, like practically full albums, whose DNA is in that song and I'm actually really glad because even though I don't listen to them anymore, my goal is always to make the kind of album I would have been obsessed with in high school. So I'm glad that's there to fill the hole this band left.

It's also kind of our take on "Dramamine," which is probably my favorite song ever lol
