On his camp wilderness livestream in early June he played the album version (or at least a near final edit) it’s pretty good. A little less electronic but still very AMITW sounding

 

So are we getting a fourth Wilderness album? Crazy that this would be his first project to reach that milestone.

I actually have thought about it before. It does seem like Wilderness may be a permanent project.

 

I don’t know if it will end up on an album or an ep or released as a single, but he def has more music coming. I just relistened to the album version since I screen recorded it. It’s even better than I remember. He’s great.

 

Has camp wilderness been worth it? Haven’t really heard much about it at all.

 

It was fine for the year I did it. I joined hoping for exclusive vinyls or something and it wound up being mostly him hopping on live and playing some songs once a month or so.

 

well we knew this from day 1 of the project, he said that from then on Wilderness is his only project no matter who is in his band, and he'll always play his full catalog of music from his three bands

 

It’s fine. Livestreams every so often, random pictures of his life. Not really anything that’s been super exclusive or worthwhile, but it’s also not that much a month. There’s personal value in knowing I’m supporting an artist I really care about.

 

what's the breakdown of audio that's been released? Any cool demos or anything?

 

three live tracks, 5 or six demo versions of released songs. Access to some exclusive merch.

The video vault has a lot more content - live material, livestreams, studio time, him drinking cocktails and listening to songs and talking about them. That’s where the treasure trove is.

 

pretty cool, I might have to dive in. To be honest I forgot he had it, but I did want to subscribe when he first announced and just forgot

 

You can sign up for a month, check everything out, and then bail. Really low risk

 

I know the huge trend and the way people listen to music is to release one off singles instead of albums.

And there's a good chance that's what he is doing here.

But damn I really hope he releases a new album.

 

I do believe this is for a proper 4th album.
