    Things have changed.

Tom is obviously coming back, so let's just enjoy the naked action figures coming out next week in the meantime and laugh at how absurd that sentence is.

Not that I really expected any different, but seeing that Enema-era logo on there is amazing. Brings back so many memories.

i like that they put the FSAS logo on Travis' chest since they can't use the Cadillac logo haha.

I'm becoming more convinced that they're going to announce Tom's return with a new single. Whenever that may be.

Also definitely copping that funko pack.

If they drop a single with Tom while Matt is saying he doesn’t know if he’s band or not I’ll definitely lose respect for Blink. They have the right to make changes since it’s really seems to be Mark and Travis band, and we saw things already when Tom was replaced.

It is just a 3 pack of toys too, dated from a specific era to make money, so it could be people over reacting.

Blink being bad with communication is hardly anything new so while I would be disappointed to hear them reunite with Tom without having a proper convo with Matt - I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest.

Matt is a realist and likely understood he'd be out of the band if and when Tom decided to come back.

Yea I wouldn’t be surprised if he had it in contract as well.the blink features and presses were basically just Mark and Travis anyway

Hope Tom's remembered how to play guitar live this time around.

He's been doing pretty good on the AVA shows recently, and he's using an Axe-FX now, so his amp sounds are better and much more consistent from show-to-show.

If the recent AVA shows are any indication we could see the best post-untitled era of blink with Tom, which has me excited.

Best case scenario in my opinion is that they do a 30th anniversary run of shows + new release with Tom (even just a short EP), and then continue on with Matt afterwards. As much as we all love Tom and would love for the core lineup to exist again (especially since they seem to legitimately be friends this time around), I see no scenario where blink is a fulltime gig with Tom in the picture. No regular touring and no regular music releases which we've gotten used to since he quit in 2015.

Yeah the AVA show I went to in October 2021 was the best I've heard Tom sound in like 15 years.

I've said it before, but I honestly don't see Blink being a regular touring/regular album cycle band ever again. With Tom or with Matt. They've gotten older, they all have other things going on, and they certainly don't need to do it.
They'll go the way of Metallica, U2 and Pearl Jam....random headlining festival gigs sprinkled here and there, but the world tours and albums will be like once every 6 years.

His performance is really tight during this performance of Kiss & Tell. Obviously his voice has aged a lot, but you can tell he's trying to be somewhat comprehensible, and is taking himself much more seriously as performer than he did 10 years ago.

Cause I mean... what the hell was this?

Thank god. The AC30 tone he had was unbearable.

  21. Even with AVA, Tom seems to have put it on hold until all of his other shit is done. So adding Blink back into the mix (which is obviously not his top priority whatsoever), the band's touring/release output would most likely slow down tremendously. But if that's what Mark and Travis want, then whatever. But before COVID/cancer, Mark seemed to always want to go go go with Blink and Tom held them back. So who knows what 2022 Mark wants. We'll see what happens. A one-off EP/album and tour with Tom AND Matt to celebrate 30 years of the band would be cool though. And then they can go back to being Tom-less.

This performance is pitch-corrected to hell but hey, if that's what we need, I'm all in.

Yeah, valid point that if Matt doesn't know anything, they wouldn't just pick up with Tom and not say a word to him. Unless he's keeping a secret. Lol maybe Tom would pull that shit. Not Mark.

I know a lot of fans are partial to Tom (almost to the exclusion of the other guys), but personally I'm going to be majorly disappointed if/when he comes back.

Neighborhoods was, in my opinion, and mediocre mess with a few bright spots, and I don't have much faith in them being on a similar creative page at this point, especially after Tom slagged them off for using outside writers and producers, and the other guys seem to really enjoy working with John Feldmann.

I really liked what they had going with NINE, and would have loved a follow up to that album. I still think California is a great album, but it felt like they found their groove with Matt and made something really special.

Matt still had Alkaline Trio, but always showed up to work with blink. I think we all know Tom isn't capable of that same level of commitment. I don't say that to disparage him, either, he's just a very ambitious guy that has way too many projects he's passionate about to commit to one thing.

I do hope if Tom does come back, they don't screw Matt over and just not tell him what's going on, after he spent more than half a decade working with them.
