Loosely/slightly related but I remember hearing about an idea involving painting roads white to reduce heat in cities. Has this had any success/been tested anywhere? I'm curious

I’m with you on more EV charging stations to a degree. I think the infrastructure needs to be in place before we try to put more of them on the road. But I would still rather see money go towards areas that are better for the climate. Right now, EVs aren’t even that much better than regular cars since they’re charged from a power grid that’s still largely fed by fossil fuels. Let’s address that with as much money as we can. Or, again, let’s put as much as we can into public transport so that it becomes a viable alternative to using a car for every trip.

 

Put solar panels on everything.

 

There really isn’t much good reason why at least parts of all parking lots aren’t covered by solar panels.

 

Also does the EV tax credit count towards hybrids?

 

Not gonna lie I thought it was gonna be a video from the Onion based off the thumbnail but I am sold and so stoked by the concept. That could be game changing if implemented correctly. Thanks for the rec!
