If they trade Skubal, it feels like they’re leaning towards rebuild 2.0. If that happens, I’d be incredibly frustrated. Skubal is literally under team control until 2027. There’s absolutely zero reason why they should be dangling him. I don’t get it at all. He’s the only young pitcher that can even stay healthy, and he has actually put up really good numbers overall, despite the recent skid. With that being said, he also dangled Fulmer and Boyd for years prior to this… unsuccessfully. His ask is always too steep for teams to jump on it, and then he ends up folding when the guy is close to FA and accepts a lowball offer instead. It’s honestly a joke that they even let him handle trades at this point.

 

i dont think youre gonna see trout for a while regardless, but I don't think Ohtani gets moved before Tuesday.
