My understanding is actually that it’s rarely a marketing stunt when it’s one of these classic snacks. There are multiple companies out there that specialize in buying/licensing iconic brands and producing similar-but-not-always-exact versions of candy and snack food in particular.

edit - I’ll look it up after dinner (hot pot, in part inspired by all this Eating Out talk on a Tuesday!) but I think at least one of these companies is literally owned by a millionaire who wanted to save a cherished brand from his childhood. I vaguely remember some podcast episode(s) about it.

Is there anything to the story about the government telling student loan companies to not contact borrowers even though payments are supposed to resume soon? Obviously not expecting any sort of forgiveness, but sounds like maybe another continuation of the pause.

 

I think that’s the rumor, that the pause would be extended

 

With the direction the economy is going and the midterms coming up, resuming payments might be one of the stupidest things Biden could do.

I'll say smash burger is my favorite fast food burger. In and out is the most overrated.

My birthday is in February and I would still rank it dead last

 

The only redeeming quality I can think of for august is my birthday but even then, the first day of school fell on my birthday like 4 times growing up and that sucked

This list is heavily influenced by the seasonality of my job. I have the entire month of July off from work so i think it gets number 1 by default, but June might actually be the better month for me tbh.

March probably woulda been above the other last two when I was younger because of St. Patrick’s day alone. But any teacher will tell you that March is the longest slog of a month ever.

February has Valentine’s Day which means fun sexy time, but I still put January in front of it for now because the whole “new” “fresh” feeling of the year and getting more days off of work in January then Feb haha.

the September/November was a struggle. September as I said before brings football but also the start of the school year. Could probably swap those two on any given day.
