280 looks great. Main card is already stacked. Brady/Belal is actually pretty intriguing and I see Brady mauling in that one haha

Dariush vs Klose will forever be one of my favorite exchanges in the history of the UFC. I still get excited when I see the replays.

I haven’t been keeping up but I knew this was a pretty stacked card. Turned it on at work and caught the very beginning of Rosa/wood. Completely forgot wood was still fighting tbh.

Fantastic fight. Hard to believe wood was at bantamweight

Man I hate seeing Gustaffson lose, but he definitely should have stayed retired a few years back. He’s had way too many wars, and you can tell he’s wearing it now at this age.

  5. Paddy looked really good in that fight

Paddy is a joy to watch and seems like such a good dude. Hoping he continues to win and help the British MMA scene thrive. These London events rule.

No idea why Curtis was so upset. Jack “ran” for like the last 10 seconds of the fight but was otherwise picking him apart. If he wanted a fight in close, he should have cut him off or tried to capitalize instead of turtling up when Jack was elbowing him in the face 15 times in a row lol.

    Also, DAMMIT this main event….

  8. Bellator-esque endings two weeks in a row. Hate to see it.

Both first round too. Neither fight really even got going. You gotta feel for everyone involved.

  10. Yeah it’s rough. Hopefully Tom is good and it’s not a long road to recovery. Hoping for no severe tear and they can run it back again in a few months.

Obviously his recovery is the main priority, but man I feel bad for Blaydes. Flew to London and all that build up just to have a non-fight.

  12. Assuming they’re down, I think it makes a lot of sense to try and get Molly and Paddy on the MSG card in September

wildly disagree on the “seems like such a good dude” point. I’ve seen nothing but shitty comments by him.

Care to share? I haven’t heard him say anything offensive, but I wouldn’t be shocked considering the cess pool that is a majority of the MMA community.

  16. He’s had a few racist/xenophobic rants on Twitter. Even as early as just last year

Yeah fuck that, he’s a shithead. Thanks for the heads up. Hope he gets his shit wrecked sooner or later.

  19. Looks like Chandler is getting Dustin next.

maybe as the co-main to Diaz/Khamzat

I’m down for that. That card needs a strong co-main since the main event is so weird.

  21. That leaves Conor with no opponent (well, decently ranked)

I suppose he could fight RDA finally. Or maybe he fights Jorge at 170

I doubt it would be co-main. They’re not going to put any effort into that card at all. They want Nate to make as little as possible off it.

Ali really had the nerve to say Charles borrowed the belt from Khabib to hold onto for Islam, because he was never really the champ and I quote “who has he fought?”

    Cranium density confirmed at 200%.

  24. I, personally, think Charles has a better resume than Khabib does. I know Khabib was more dominant has the 0 in his and that accounts for a lot but Charles last three wins is all time type shit.

    If he beats Islam

    oh boy

Their resumes are pretty equal as far as notable wins and overall accolades.

Khabib retired undefeated with 0 damage while Charles has a good chunk of losses, but Charles balances that out with the fact that he holds the UFC records for both submissions AND finishes. It’s a shame they never fought.

This fight with Islam is pretty perfect though because Charles and Khabib’s championship runs have been very similar up until this point, so now this his opportunity to set himself apart. It’s just that much more perfect that it’s against Khabib’s #1 guy of all people so we get to see a glimpse of how he would have fared.
