My point was that I’ve made enough posts in here about the situation that there shouldn’t really be anyone feigning ignorance about the situation, but I know that you know that

 

It’s not being ignored. We’re aware that some of the members (as of a year or so ago) were still friends with/supporting JJR. I think personally that’s a gray enough area where I respect people who don’t listen to them because of it, and respect those who still do. I also think you and others are more than welcome to continue to bring it up, but I don’t think saying people are “ignoring it” is exactly what’s happening here.

 

Well, quote me when JJR or Harry shows up on stage at a concert you paid for. I don’t respect that at all.

 

This whole yell at people online about JJR and how band members still talk to him privately is exhausting and doing nothing here on this forum.

You're better off standing in front of each venue and handing a pamphlet on what he's done. The impact is higher over there.

 

I mean it seems like you’ve made up your mind to sell your soul for a shitty pop punk band, but I’m gonna pass.

If you think reading my posts complaining about a rapist holding power in the scene is exhausting, imagine seeing that rapist on stage at shows you go to. Imagine them being in a band with the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in the scene. Fuck off, lol

Could probably be just as effective to post the proper information and let people formulate their own opinions on the matter.

It is very, very easy to not show your ass online so badly. If you are bothered by me posting so much about the shitty things a band you like does, I’m sorry a band you like did a shitty thing. Arguing online with the same 10 people does nothing. Go post comments on the bands social media. Fucking get the message out to a greater population.

I didn’t say you did? The person I originally quoted did. You joined the conversation by your own accord to… get me to stop talking about this band having close ties with a rapist and the dude who lied and threatened people to protect him. Why are you choosing that side to line yourself up with? There is no “grey area” here. Go look at JJR’s most recent liked tweet, they are still very close. And I am also 100% sure at least some of them are reading this thread right now, I’m sure they’re happy for your support.

This site is embarrassing. I’m fully done. Trying to cancel good people based off lyrics from 13 years ago.. fireworks are genuine good people who pushed pro homosexuality 09. “I support same sex marriage” is an important song to me. Fuck you.

This has become a shit show. JJR is a stain on the scene and should be called out at all times. Actually the whole scene is a stain tbh

I believe he’s in Keep Flying (coincedentally retweeted the announcement Fireworks tour announcement) who just toured with With The Punches and I’m pretty sure he’s still tight with Four Year Strong as well.
