The last few minutes of that episode kicked me back up into emotional purgatory after dealing with those brutal Kim scenes.

Nachos father calling Mike a gangster underrated hurtful scene too.

Beautiful thematic resonance of Jimmy saying “one day we’ll realize we haven’t thought about it at all” that plays out in the Gus and Mike stories. You never forget. That day will never come. Kim realized that. Saul could never accept it.

I just rewatched the ending. Jimmy is so broken in the BB era. Fuck this is sad

Spoilers obviously… everyone thinking something crazy would happen to Kim… and she just leaves. And somehow that’s the perfect explanation for what turns Jimmy into Saul.

  8. Figured something like this was coming, but it was still an emotional gut punch. Curious to see where these last episodes go as far as how much Saul vs Gene we get.

    hmmm

Episode really picked up second half. The breakup was really well done. That Kim realises that their happiness is not a moral justification for their ultimately destructive relationship is another example of the BB/BCS writers really nailing it on morality and the deadly effects of indulging moral vices, even when you think you can control them. Same with what Nacho's dad said to Mike; there's no justice in the truest sense of the word when his boy's not coming back.

I can only echo what's already been said about this episode. Truly heartbreaking stuff. Being this close to the end and watching Mike not being able to sit still after seeing Kaylee's toys and then going back to get Nacho's Dad's ID to call him is really setting the stage for his relationship with Jesse down the road. On a much lighter note, the transitions in the very beginning between Kim and Jimmy's day and Mike and his crew cleaning up the apartment were really neat.

My guess is by the end of the series, we get get Gene and Kim in the same scene. He watches her from afar for a few moments, maybe she’s laughing with whatever husband and kid(s) she has, and Gene walks away slightly tearfully, finally accepting that he and Kim not being in each other’s lives is for the best.

I knew we would see Nachos dad again and I knew it was going to be Mike to tell him what happened. That scene was really well done.

Imagine if we got to experience episodes 7/8/9 in consecutive weeks instead of having that break. Phew that would have been a special type of brutal.

We knew it was going to happen, but I felt kind of dirty when I saw the BB version of Saul for the first time this series.

Wasn't prepared for this shot. The cinematography is stellar as always.

The first few seasons of the show I was constantly waiting for Jimmy to become Saul, I would think about when it could happen constantly. These last few seasons didn't have me hanging on that thought nearly as much. When the time skip happened last night, I was like 'oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's what this show is all about.' It was a truly memorable experience/moment as far as watching a TV series.

I definitely felt dirty and sleazy in a way too, that comb over shot rocked me.

Him fully becoming Saul because Kim left on her own and not because something happens to her makes it so much more powerful.

Beyond impressed last night with how naturally they "wrote out" the elements of BCS that weren't in BB

I would like to meet the person who named this episode Fun and Games to have a serious talk with them about their sense of humour
