Time seems to speed up as you get older. I remember that felt like an eternity when they were on hiatus.

Even seeing that single art made me super nostalgic for that release, wow

I had a poster of that single art up in my dorm room freshman year

Especially considering we got two AVA albums and a +44 album during that time.

Gotta love the monotony of being an adult.

Went to H&M for some work attire and they had a blink sweaters/shirt thing.

    I hope he’s not.I need 4 piece blink.
Imagine Mark brings back his deep vocals,Matt filling bridges and back vocals and Tom doing Tom things.
Also there is so much similarities between Matt and Tom songwriting (musically).
I think all 4 of them would be able create something really special

  12. When Matt was announced as Tom’s replacement, I was like “holy fuck they’re gonna make another Untitled!” but then we got California which was like 2% Matt.

But apparently when Matt first joined the band, and they demoed with Tim Armstrong, their stuff sounded “too much of a mix of old Blink and Alkaline Trio” (which is exactly what we’d want?) But alas…

Yeah, I'd say the second worst case scenario (behind blink just ending) would be Matt leaving and Tom coming back. We'd go straight back to DED - Tom.is.out blink. Not ideal.

Listened to Neighorhoods today and had fun imagining Skiba sing some parts on it too.

Couldn’t help but think that if Neighborhoods came out today it would so be up my alley. I liked it when it first came out, but part of me also wished it was different for their comeback album.

I mean the Trio hasn’t played this much since Matt joined Blink.

  16. Mark getting sick definitely set Blink back which gave Matt that time. If Mark had not gotten sick, I bet we’d have a 10th album and a tour this summer.

  17. A 10th album is a pretty significant milestone… The more I think about it, I think Blink’s official end is creeping on so haunting… Someone e-slap me and talk some sense into me since I don’t have therapy until Monday :blink182:

Damn.. good point. A 10th and final album with Mark, Tom, and Travis, would be quite the send off.

  19. A little while back, Mark got his mom’s boxes of old Blink stuff she’s collected over the years for a “project” he’s working on.

Mark has been compiling past tour dates and appearances, collecting studio notes, demos, etc., and asking “Blink historians” for info he doesn’t have/remember.

Mark was asked if he’d ever write a book, and he said that he WILL write a book one day. A hard yes.

I assume he’s collecting all this for a “complete history of blink” book he’s putting together, and not JUST his own personal archive.

Feels like it would be weird to write a “complete history of the band” type book if the band is going to continue on, since that would mean the book wouldn’t actually be “complete.”

Their next album will be their 10th. That’s a big milestone.

Matt doesn’t know if he’s in the band.

Mark has been doing stuff in the studio recently (unclear if it’s Blink or something else.)

There’s that rumor about Tom coming back for some shows in South America.

Blink has never played in South America, so it would make sense that they might want to play there before they call it quits “some day.”

I dunno… too many signs pointing to a final bow, right??? Or am I absolutely crazy? I work from home and it’s 100 degrees out so I don’t go outside very much right now. Haha.

However!!!!! The original rumor said they’d be playing as a 4 piece in SA. With Matt saying he doesn’t know if he’s in the band, you’d think that he would know if he had a tour lined up that’s meant to include him.

  20. People write memoirs all the time before the "end" of their life, or band, or whatever they're known for. It's in fact the most common type of memoir since most are published while the author is still alive.

I'll go the exact opposite: literally nothing at this time points to the end of the band.

  21. Thanks for the e-slap. I clearly need it.

Despite what NINE would have us believe, Blink-182 have only had 8 studio albums. I can’t be alone thinking that album title never made a lick of sense, right?

Even Mark said at the time of its release that an 8th album is one people can’t agree on. Is it Flyswatter, Buddha, TMTATS, Greatest Hits, Dogs Eating Dogs, California Deluxe?
