If you ever have a big bill from the hospital ask about charity care, it might have another name depending on where you go but depending on what you qualify for they can adjust off up to 100% of your balance.

I worked from home for a bit back when the pandemic started, and for me and my line of work (IT), I much prefer being in person, on site, and hands on.

Plus I haven't grown to hate people so much that I don't favor being around them during a workday. I also just feel like work and home life bleed together way too much working remotely.

There are advantages, for sure, but not enough for my taste.

I've been pretty much work from home my whole time at my current job. They've been optional for a little while but I've just been going in one day a week and it's pretty empty always. The new one I'm starting is in the office 2-3 days a week and honestly looking forward to it, I think it's probably better for socializing with other people. If it was completely optional I might not go in as much but I think it's probably good for me to have it be required. I like the flexibility of hybrid for sure but I don't think being isolated all the time is a great thing even if you're speaking / video chatting with others, not the same.

This is just my experience, obviously if someone else wants to be work from home and are happy more power to them.

I would work everyday from home if I could. Zero benefits to me being in person

Oh yeah that’s totally understandable, I worked at lowe’s for 4 years & refused to learn. Then I went to a very small company where everyone had to be certified. It’s so easy!

I feel somewhat normal waking up today and it’s Day 8, but maybe mine was longer because I’m immunocompromised; my friends I got it with were better after a few.

This was 15 years ago so I can’t even imagine what it would be now. Hospital charity covered a lot of it but I was one of the “lucky ones” because that particular disease gets you Medicare early so they backdated and covered the rest after 3 months

Honestly that Got Milk campaign was so successful. It’s wild how much “milk builds strong bones” has stuck in the public consciousness. I would think over past of it is because it felt very unobjectionable to all the celebrities to endorse, so they really threw themselves into it.
