He was hitting on Travis Barker daughter when she was 13 and he was 20. Echosmith's defense was to say he has autism.

They will go as a one hit wonder. They had good momentum with Cool Kids but I guess it didnt help that it took 7 years to release their sophomore album.

I was mad the other day when I got a Songkick notification that Phoebe Bridgers announced a concert only to have it be a mistake that she's opening for them.

if you ever go to shows in Dallas, TX, this is a hell of deal - you can even use it on sold out shows

I discovered ETF right when the debut EP came out and I was super into it. Obviously as time passed it became evident what shitbags the entire band was.

could you imagine some kid stumbling upon that band now and then going back and listening to the EP? Literally two different bands. Are there still any original members of that lineup in the band?

It's funny, because the reverse is far more likely to happen, because "Situations" & "Truth In Cliche" are still their most well-remembered songs. Hell, there are still TikTok teens doing Fortnite dances to those songs while making fun of Ronnie Radke.

Meanwhile, Craig's side project Dead Rabbits was booked to play in a 250 cap sideroom of a major venue, and they were literally giving away tickets for free at the venue's bar the week before. Kevin Thrasher probably makes more money as a producer than he does in ETF. All of their branding power is connected to that early image, despite the fact it literally doesn't represent who they are anymore.

I think if they wanted to put in a solid few years opening tours in the Metalcore & Active Rock scenes, they'd kill it. Direct Support for bands like WCAR, Spiritbox, and Architects, and open for bands like Papa Roach, Shinedown, Asking Alexandria, & FFDP, and they'd be golden. Story Of The Year is a bit of an odd start, but I respect the hustle.

i haven’t listened to a full ETF album since this war is ours.. i saw dead rabbits open for the word alive at their sold out return show in phoenix, az last october & they killed it. craig was just walking around chillin with everyone. feel like ETF needs to open for the right bands as mentioned above.

I saw them in 2009 & some kid said he liked Ronnie better so Craig spit in his face

i'm pretty sure etf has been trying to do the radio rock grind for years now. they've toured with papa roach and hell yeah. they're always on the big butt rock festivals. they just don't make a dent over there for some reason. i assume they still make a good living off of touring or else i'd probably just hang it up if i were them.

They probably don’t make a dent because that scene lives off nostalgia and ETF was never a part of the butt rock scene in their heyday even if they had that sort of look so that scene could care less about them. They probably would have been better off trying to attach themselves to the metalcore scene.

Did escape the fate change their style down the road ? I quit listening to them after the 2010 album. But I always thought they were a story of the year type band ?. Like they always had one metal core song on the albums but most of them were emo pop punk type songs. So it feels like they would fit in more with story of the year then we came as roman type bands

I guess metalcore was the wrong word. More like the pop oriented “post hardcore” scene with bands like SWS/PTV or even bands like Amity/Silverstein that have went in a more radio friendly direction. I still don’t think it would have made a difference though with all of the lineup changes and the steam they lost due to it. The last time they seemed relevant is when they toured with FIR lol

Bummer! No Devotion have cancelled the rest of their mini-tour including tonight's show in Baltimore, MD that I planned on attending. Here's what I got from the concert organizers:

After 2.5 years of running, fate has finally caught up with us and it is with both reluctance and sadness that we have to cancel the remaining dates of our tour in Boston and Baltimore. It’s truly heartbreaking as the shows so far has been nothing short of an inspiration and the reception to the record pre-sale has been unparalleled. We are devastated, as you can imagine.

Our brothers Jeremy Enigk and Nate Bergman are still going to play tonight. Please show up and please support them. Thank you for covering for us fellas.

These are tough times that just got even tougher. We have overcome much worse and we will overcome this and see you all very soon. Thank you— Geoff, Lee, Stu.

Can’t believe I’m seeing all American rejects today after 16 years. I haven’t seen them since 2006 with gym class the starting line and format I was 17.
