  1. I always always return the cart but I will say that when I worked a retail job in high school I loved when there were a ton of carts to get from all over the place bc it meant less time I had to be in the store dealing with customers lol. I’d be out there pushing 20 minutes getting three carts

i bundled up real good, missouri winters arent too bad but it did get annoying sometimes. but, when it snows no one goes shopping so i really didnt have much work to do. now when snow was in the forecast we'd get busy as shit just before it did snow

also that was when i learned to love coffee as it was a good excuse to come inside go to the break room and pour myself a cup lol

I always return my cart, especially at Costco where both of their kinds of carts are massive.

When I worked at grocery store, getting carts was a fun time waster. You could pop in the Airpods and just kind of mess around because managers aren't going to watch what you're doing outside.

I'd make a joke about how one quarter isn't a huge loss if it's been an especially tiring day, but truth be told, I've only been to Aldi once in my life, and it didn't really strike me as anything impressive.

The only thing I hated about getting carts is that my grocery store didn't allow us to drink water on the job unless it was unbearably hot. I don't get how that shit was legal. Fuck Market Basket. Awful business, even if their prices are great.

That store felt like it was still in the 60s. The only facial hair allowed was a mustache, short hair only, dress clothes and a tie, women weren't allowed to get carts, men weren't allowed to cashier unless you were part of the lucky few, weren't allowed to wear warm clothes if you were bagging by the doors in the winter, etc etc

I gathered carts and loaded shit at IKEA and gathering carts took away from getting tips helping load people’s shit. Plus we didn’t have one of those fancy things that pushed the carts for you and there was a slight incline to push the carts back to the store.

Yeah I definitely don't miss it lol. It's a massive, popular chain in New England, and a few years ago, it was looking like the chain was going to sell to another business and locals lost their fucking minds over it and boycotted the store until they were pressured to keep original ownership. Meanwhile I'm like "fuck those misogynistic pieces of shit"

sounds dreadful. i was supposed to work in a grocery store my first job but the person that hired me quit a couple days later and no one gave enough of a shit to try to get me oriented no matter how much i called. ended up going the restaurant route instead
