Tik Tok can have some really cool educational/creative stuff on there, but if you are on it for more than like 15-20 minutes a day that shit will genuinely fuck up your brain chemistry. One of my buddies has turned into a hermit since covid and he’s on that shit like multiple hours every day. It’s genuinely impossible to hold a conversation with him and he can’t even hold eye contact with you anymore.

I work in a new and kinda trendy store and the number of kids who film themselves opening the front door (sometimes multiple takes) and then film every corner of the shop and sometimes interacting with me is like….wild to me. All for every video to look more or less exactly the same. I know I sound like every boomer when Instagram exploded 10 years ago. Anyways rant over.
