While i'm over here going "but are they going to allow us to vote?" Like I always think about the worse case.

    Always hopelessly hopeful

Even among republicans, support against a law to protect abortion access is only 51-41.

But because of the way this whole countries government is structured, those 51% control the republican platform, and then the republicans somehow control 6-3 SCOTUS seats. And so you wind up with policy that only 30% of the country actually supports.

I would totally move to Marquette in the UP if I could stand snow. Absolutely love that town and its a little spec of blue in that giant red monstrosity that is the UP.

yup. meanwhile the dems don't actually see "63% of the country supports this, only 29% opposes, but we can't get it done" as a serious problem. Instead they just wanna be like "uh vote more!"

I think the "just vote" strategy would be more effective if we had any guarantee that our vote mattered or was even counted.

At the end of the day you need 50 senators willing to change or nuke the filibuster, either for this specific issue or for everything. Not sure where they come from right now.

What really gets me fired up are these people saying "well you're ok with abortion right up to birth".....well yes and no....that is for a medical professional to decide IMO. Like what if a woman is in full term labor and they discover something seriously wrong or the mother is dying...whatever the case may be. I've never once heard of a woman saying at 40 weeks "you know, I think i changed my mind, lets abort now".

Do they even know how a late term abortion works? They use the same lethal injection they use on death row. They have to stick a needle through the mother into the babies heart to stop it so that they can dismember it. I HIGHLY DOUBT ANY WOMAN WANTS THAT TO HAPPEN OR GOES TO A CLINIC AND ASKS FOR IT.

There should be no law about the choice a woman and her doctor Need to make in order to save the mothers life....these white old men want us to populate the country, ok cool but how about we do it in safe ways so um, ya know, WE DON'T FUCKING DIE BEACUSE A BABY IS IN OUR TUBES AND WE END UP WITH SEPSIS.

I had someone tell me to "get over it" when I had my ectopic pregnancy and that it "wasn't even a baby anyways"....this coming from a man who signed his parental rights away on a child he never met and wanted nothing to do with from a one night stand.

so which one is it guys, a fetus isn't even a baby/human, or it is. cause I'll tell you what, every doctor I had in 2015 told me that its not a living breathing human until it comes out and cries for the first time.

Also, No "god" in his right mind is ok with a 10 year old being raped and forced to have that baby.

    End Rant.
