So wild that I started listening to this band when they had 3 albums and now they have 10?? God I’m old.

 

When I was younger it used to bother me SO MUCH that their DEBUT album had a title with the word “second” in it and that their SECOND album was called IKSOSE: THREE! I kept thinking there had to be an album before SSTB, there just HAD to be!

 

I also don’t think I truly knew these were concept albums based on comics and books or whatever until the launch of Good Apollo, so listening to the lyrics of IKS was a wild ride lol. “Man your own jackhammer!” what in the world, what are these lyrics lol

and I listened to SSTB before IKS but I guess I just didn’t listen that closely or recall any wild lyrics standing out on that album

 

Claudio belts "I NEED MAYO" in Hearshot Kid Disaster and anyone who doesn't know the story must be completely flabbergasted

 

Lmao I’ve listened to that album hundreds of times, including just this morning, and have never caught this or hear it as something different because my brain probably couldn’t comprehend why he would sing that lol and I have no idea what the story is! Down the Google rabbit hole I go.

 

Surprised to see "The Liars Club" so low on people's list for this record. It may genuinely be a top 5 Coheed song period for me.

Something I’ve never really put a lot of time into has been putting together a “top ten favorite artists” list and as I very, very gingerly and early on look over the lists of artists I enjoy think of putting them in some part of enjoyment or favorite list I think C&C may be in the top 10. At least top 20, but I haven’t spent nearly enough time thinking about it or reviewing artists and my thoughts on artists and full discographies.

Also going to start a discography run of C&C and come up with my lists and orders and such as demanded by the ghosts of AP.net.

 

I kind just do this based on last.fm that I started using in 2010ish. Coheed, Fireworks, Dance Gavin Dance are a pretty solid top 3, but Joyce Manor might be weighted too heavily because of song length where Opeth or BTBAM underrepresented for the same reason.

Second Stage was their only album when I started listening to them, so I'm definitely feeling old, too.

I got my Vaxis II box yesterday, and the CD came in a paper sleeve instead of the retail packaging. Ha.
