As someone who's never listened much to the band, where's the best place to get started? I think I've heard a song or two off Parting the Sea, and I'm mainly trying to get a feel for them before the Thrice tour this fall. Cheers!

 

Definitely Is Survived By imo. It’s their most accessible I feel, but definitely check out the newest album. They will probably be mostly playing stuff from Lament.

 

Honestly I love all their records, and you could do a whole discog run easily

 

Parting The Sea and onwards I would say. I love Dead Horse but I don't know if it's the best place to start

 

I didn't find the band compelling until Stage Four but then I went back and listened to the older stuff and now I own and enjoy all of the albums, singles and EPs.

 

Discography run 100%. Most accessible is Stage Four (even though the subject matter might be a lot for some), but hearing their stuff from start to end is great

 

This is exactly what I came in to say.

 

also their first few albums are short enough it would only take like half an hour to listen to them real quick lol
